Mazda MX-5 Miata (2016+): How to Install MX5things Accessory / Ignition Harness - ND ND1 ND2 ND3

This video shows the steps required to install the MX5things Accessory / Ignition Power Controller Harness on a fourth generation Mazda MX-5 Miata (2016 and newer - including ND1, ND2, ND3, soft top and/or RF variants). The "shortcut" method used in this video will apply to ND2 and newer cars which have telescoping steering wheels. For those with ND1's, you will need to crawl under the driver's side dash to access the harness (same location and process - just different method of accessing it). The specific car in this video is a 2020 MX-5 RF Grand Touring in Snowflake White Pearl Mica exterior and Red Nappa Leather interior options.
This benefit of this harness is it will keep ACC power (accessory power) enabled until the driver's side door is opened or for 10 minutes after the engine is shut off. The Infotainment/Bluetooth system will continue to operate until ACC is on. Please note for 2024+ models, the Infotainment/Bluetooth system is not powered by the ACC line. Therefore, ACC power will not be extended, but the radio will keep working until the door is closed.

@@jeffreyarmitage5163 yes, I've seen others show the process from the footwell area. While this is necessary for early ND owners, I thought some might benefit trying this method of going under the steering column like I did. Seemed to make the job easier! I appreciate the good words! 😃
