In Japan many people in the car scene swap out the clusters when they own their cars. They keep the original clusters to put back in at a later date having the low miles/km still when they sell the car. Means they can run the cars and not clock up miles/km on the original cluster. When they put the clusters back in they sometimes bounce around and dont work as the should.

Yeah, I've heard that from a few people. I would love to have the full Haltech set up in mine and get rid of the oem cluster and just have one screen that reads everything clearly.

Should be picking up an rx7 fd myself in less than 2 weeks, cheers for the video mate very useful.

@@jessec9577 They are a right pain when they start having issues. I will pull mine back out when the car show season clams down then see if I can repair them myself.

I’m in nz I own a 2001 fd3s rx7 type rz and mine comes factory with the white face cluster and I love that option over the standard black cluster or any after market cluster but I have had solonoid issues on my cluster

Did yours come with twin turbos and youre wanted to drop to one? Are there really a lot less issues with a single turbo setup?

Hey, yeah mine came with and still has the stock twin turbo set up currently! When you go single turbo which I plan to in the future you basically eliminate so much stuff which can potentially go wrong such as brittle hoses, actuators, air pump & the list goes on! so by going single turbo your only making your rx7 more reliable if anything and you get way better power delivery ect. Again there are so many sets up you can do when changing to single turbo and the worse thing you can do is scrip on crap parts and take it to people that have no clue what they are doing regarding fitment and tuning, which in all honesty so many RX-7 owners have experienced and they have thrown thousands at their cars over the years and probably feel they have got no where. Rotary engine's in all fairnes, are good engines when done Right and they like to be driven for miles.

@ExtremelyOnlineGuy I'll be getting the borgwarner 362SX kit which will have a T4 twin scroll. Should be starting the work very soon 👍
