5:04 now that is some commitment bip life lool congratulations get a Feed transmision kit* and you will be king even in 6th gear too , but even without the kit , you would have still gain praly a sec or some if you shift up at 5:02

Well done you....I have the same car but don't think I could do this without some practice....been there twice, bike and car and for anybody watching thinking it looks easy, it is not.this guy is fast. I've yet to work on my suspension, engine is tuned up nicely.do you rate the federal tyres as they were on my list? I find my car has a fair bit more body roll than I expected.do uprated coilovers hold it much flatter? Great driving and much respect

almost all coilovers that are worth a damn have adjustable ride height and stiffness, at least 16-way. If not, I would recommend you dont buy them. :) Body roll will be very much minimized with a good set of coilovers on rx8 etf I wish I could bring my rx8 to Germany from USA but its gonna cost $$$

The stock chassis/suspension setup on the RX-8 is amazing already. The handling is ridiculously good.

@@Toxofox to be fair: only when it is dry and the tires are new-ish. I have 3 year old Kumhos PS71 on mine currently and in the wet it is AWFULLY twitchy (just as Clarkson already described in the original Top Gear test in 2004). I highly recommend only using the best tires you can get that also have some safety margin in the rain and good quality long lasting rubber on this car, like Michelin or Conti.

@@multi21racing First purchase on my RX-8 was a set of 4 Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport. Bit noisy but handles great on dry and safe on wet and long as you don't try and race the car.

ISC sport coilovers, Exoticspeed exhaust + Toyosport decat. Stock intake with sport air filter. I was driving on Federal Rs-r 225/40 on 18 stock wheels. I even have stock engine. No rebuild. Just after some changes in Ecu. 102k km on it. Suspension was a little bit to low for this track so i had problem in both carousels

Victor Hugo Barreto it's 231hp 6 speed. My friend did some changes in ecu. No issue after that.

etf oooh cool!!! And how was the increase in performance? How many hp more? Torque? I have a 04 and i absolutely love it but truth being told, 30 hp and 30 to 40% more torque are more than welcome. Would he make it for someone else or just friends?

Victor Hugo Barreto it was just a couple small changes like higher rev limiter (9.7k) also we increase some torque at higher rpm. But it wasn't proper tuning. For next season I'm adding something than will increase my hp and torque ;) stay tuned for dyno video in maybe 2-3 months

Nice driving mate. But next time try to use heel toe method when you have to shift down and brake. I can hear that the car is slowing down to much because of the engine brakin. So if you rev match the car responds much better and its a lot better for the engine. But great lap mate well done.😊

Hey etf. Very nice effort. I know it's been almost 3 years since you uploaded this video. Correct me if I'm wrong. Have you installed a 5.375 final gear ration in this run? At 1.22sec I can hear the tachometer's "beep" which indicates 9K rpms. Also (and if the display from the GPS is correct) your car has 132km/h at this moment. According to my calculations, in this video you have probably installed a 5.375 final gear ratio, which I totally support. If yes, what are your impressions regarding everyday drivability even with a majorly stock set-up...? Thanks.

Hey, I had stock s1 hp transmission. I forgot what's final gear but it was stock. I had tune my limiter so it was max 9700 max rpm if I remember. Now it's completely different monster with borgwarner efr turbo and over 350hp.

He stayed in 5th. Probably did not get into 6th gear because it is a very long one? I have a 5 speed RX8 192. 4th gear gets you near 185kph/190kph. You can reach top speed in 5th but the gearing is long and you drop a little bit too low in the rev range: If you're going up hill, you'll actually slow down due to the long gear/low torque combination. Probably why the driver here did not attempt to get into final gear.

AntoNaxos 95 Renesis is still a 13B engine. If you look in an RX8 engine bay you can see “13B” stamped on the engine. The 13b-REW was the RX7 and Renesis is a 13b-MSP (multi side port).
