Nice work nicely done. The mounting to chassis wouldn't be that easy in the UK due to the wet and winter salts corroding it all in no time. I wonder how long it is before you strip it out completely to make it a track slag?! If you make a quick vid review of the changes felt while driving it, please could you show what it's like with the interior refitted - I'm curious? Enjoyed the web chat earlier this week as well, glad to see you back and in better spirits too.

Hey mate great videos I really enjoy the tutorials and videos regarding the mazda 2..... I own a green mazda 2 2011 and I am looking to learn hardwiring a dash cam or interior footlights to the mazda 2 fuse box and didn't really find tutorials on youtube.... Have you ever done anything like this mate ? It might be a video suggestion if you ever did something in this line of work it will really help me out 😁. Thanks again and keep up the good work.

I avoid wiring/electrics at all costs and I’m not interested in adding either of those to my car. Sorry Thanks for watching!

Some feedback on how you find the difference in road noise in the cabin day to day would be cool. I’m assuming no rear seat backs and stripped down plastics it will be a little louder.
@HiroshimaSpirit4 жыл бұрын
I have a fairly loud exhaust, so a couple more pieces of plastic missing isn’t upsetting. I’m not installing a roll bar in a car I expect to be comfortable or quiet, you know? My other 2 is bone stock and comfy. Every piece of interior trim you remove makes the cabin noise incrementally louder.

Awesome mods!!!🤘👍 Have you had any issues on your caster, when you do alignment on your car? I have 2013 Mazda 2, installed lowering springs, tokico struts & shocks but my caster is off, not aligned how it should be. My mechanic told me there's nothing he can do. Any info is helpful, enjoy ur videos🤘🤘
@HiroshimaSpirit3 жыл бұрын
Make sure both strut top hats are oriented the same way. If one is different than the other, the caster will be different side to side and throw off the alignment.

I have another ? I was thinking of going with a little bigger of tires for my Mazda a size wider and taller. Have you tried this and if so wat size did you go with .thanks .still watch ur video s

I always had the same size wheels and tires, sorry. 16 inch selections kind of suck. lol

Question: Arent these supposed to be attached to the chassis to work properly?
@HiroshimaSpirit4 жыл бұрын
It is attached to the chassis. The Mazda2 is a unibody.

Are you looking at Engine Mods in the future?
@HiroshimaSpirit4 жыл бұрын
Full bolt-ons and a tune is likely all I’m going to want from this car for the foreseeable future.
@Ramkakh4 жыл бұрын
Will you put some kind of corrosion protection on the underside, that seems that it will rust pretty easily.
@HiroshimaSpirit4 жыл бұрын
Yes, I’m planning on it.

Can you get roof bars/roof box for Mazda 2???
@HiroshimaSpirit3 жыл бұрын
Yes, but I couldn’t tell you where from besides OEM (for roof bars).
@hunterseibert55593 жыл бұрын
Can you have a rear seats in after installed or no just curious I'm definitely not opposed to removing them
@HiroshimaSpirit3 жыл бұрын
I don’t know why you’d want to keep them. Rear seat passengers are a dangerous no-go with a roll bar installed. The seat back won’t be able to latch without being “notched” for the roll bar tubing anyway. I recommend keeping the lower pad portion of the seat, though, so you have a nice, flat cargo area when you need it.

@@HiroshimaSpirit thank you very much!!! I just purchased a 2014 sort yesterday and was very sad to see others not allot of aftermarket support, its Ethier street or fully blown rally car from Australia :( cant wait to see more mods,
@HiroshimaSpirit3 жыл бұрын
There isn’t, but what we do have is good for being so niche. More enthusiasts could drive demand for new parts, though!
@hunterseibert55593 жыл бұрын
@@HiroshimaSpirit indeed, I saw a chassis bracing kit, would be cool to see a video if you can find any more supports of the type and less expensive big brake kit ddm is pretty steep
@HiroshimaSpirit3 жыл бұрын
Chassis bracing is nothing more than a holdover gimmick from the old days in this case. The Mazda2 is so stiffly constructed from the factory that all you’d be doing is bolting on weight with little to no chassis benefit. As far as the DDM works big brake kit, it’s priced similarly (or cheaper, in some cases) to kits for other cars of similar performance. A Flyin’ Miata BBK is $900, for example. $775 is a lot of money, but it’s still a bargain, if you ask me.
