AC line, very common problem with this kit. Had it break two of my lines, before getting a speed shop to bend the pipe to keep it from touching. 80 for a line, $100 for a recharge/cleaning

It would also help if you got a spare piece of tubing and wrapped the inter cooler piping. This way the AC line will just rub on the tubing vs metal. But really just make a slight bend to the AC line to keep it from happening again

does the cx racing front mount require you to get a new bov/bpv? if so will any new one work or do only some fit up properly?

I’m fairly certain you can mount the factory one to the CX racing one. The main issue is that the CX bov flange isn’t threaded so you will need to get a new screws, washers, and nuts to secure it. I would recommend upgrading you bpv if you plan on tuning the car as the factory one has been known to leak

How do you check your oil? U should flip the top copler to the other side you will have enough clearance to check the dipstick

i push up on the intercooler hot pipe until I have enough room to remove it lmao

By any chance did you need a new BPV hose? I’m wanting to purchase everything before my piping gets here and attempt an install. Nothing worse than starting a project and then having to close up and come back

John Nickel would recommend a JBR tube then since it’s cheap and intentionally longer then you need so you can measure and get the perfect fit

What did you use to cover the ac lines heat wrap it ?

its reflective heat wrap for like air conditioning units. Probably not the best stuff, but it works lol

No I use a turboXS 50/50 BOV

I installed mine not to long ago and the piping next to the intake is in the way of the shifter plate so I bought a short shifter which gave me a little more room to work with when it comes to shifting in reverse, 1st, 3rd, and 5th but it still hits the piping a little. Super annoying but whatev. Ill take the fmic over the stock mount any day.

Chase Poff really? Damn, i have not had that issue. Maybe the gen1s are a little bit tighter in the bay? Your piping go the same way mine does?

NewOrleansSpeed Yeah its a pretty tight fit and the way you have yours setup looks just like mine. I think I could maybe move the piping up just a little bit but the front bumper is a pain in the ass for me. I hate taking it off and putting it back on lol. I get one side evened out with the body then the other side will pop out so I just left it like it is. Still goes in gear but rubs just a little. Probably fix it in the future when I have time.

Chase Poff i actually went in and looked and you’re right. The pipe comes super close to the shifter weight

Miles Williams it’s not too bad tbh! Before i filmed this i has taken apart the entire system and checked the couplers and piping for wear and it’s all held up surprisingly well and had little to no oil residue from the turbo. The Corr has held up okay considering it has a large dent it from our trash New Orleans roads. Sits around 15-20 degrees F above ambient, which isn’t half bad. I’d suggest getting a different core

So 2.5 in for all 3 couplers or just the 2 45 degree couplers?
