Belting is never easy regardless of the tessitura. An ordinary soprano will not have such vocal ability and stamina to withstand the tremendous amount of pressure on her vocal cord. Sohyang doesn't only hit those high notes, she sustains them and make vocal runs of them. I believe she would be able to sing coloratura passages if she were a well-trained opera singer.

Khanh Nuguyen I know, but I never said support XD but she good have made it existent. Had some solid projection on it at least, just something so people could recognise is it if they were listening for the first time. Because, it's hard to spot. Btw, I'm pretty sure Mariah is the only Soprano ever to support that note... I've never heard anyone else supported that note. The close ones we're Tori and Celine with Eb3.

Aretha Franklin - soprano can support G2 for example but this is not so important. Mariah is not so good as Aretha. This performance here was sung 2012. Now she has better low notes. Her voice has changed. D3 is not a problem now. She can hit A2 now but airy.

Nikalsson I don't listen to Aretha or study her so I'm not going to debate about her G2 and I'm just going to take your word for it. But, she hasn't really changed that drastically in her lower range. She's improving, but it's not AMAZING. She was supporting G3 and consistency G#3, now she supports F#3 and consistently G3. 나가수 방송당시 심각할정도로 악성 댓글들이 여러 게시판에 보였는데. 심지어 신체적인 아픔까지 들먹여가면서 자기가 실용음악과 학생이네 보컬 트레이너네. 소향은 고음밖에 낼줄 모르는 반쪽 가수다. 별의별 가짜 전문가들이 험담을 쏟아 냈죠. 소향님 본인께서도 보셨으리라 생각합니다. 그래서 일부러 반음이 극과 극으로 나누어지더라고 여러 발성법들을 보여주시면서 마지막 무대를 뒤로 떠나셨죠. 당시 방송을 보면서 참 많이 놀랐어요. 이야 발성법을 바꾸시니까 느낌 완전 다르네 하고 ㅎㅎ 수년간 폐렴으로 인해 가수 생명까지 끝날 위기를 이겨내시고 다시 복귀하신 당신께 감사할 뿐입니다.

I am mystified by the comparisons with Lena Park. I don't get it, God bless Lena Park but SoHyang is the Queen of Asian Vocalists...this one performance alone outshines entire careers. Show me one Lena Park performance where she employed as many vocal techniques properly in one song. Again, not hating on Lena but this is my opinion.

Zeruda Hime By "repetitiveness", do you mean her extreme high belts? If so, that's just dumb because that's like saying Mariah using whistle is repetitive. Yes it is, but we never get tired of it.

From what I've heard from I Am A Singer 2, I've heard Dream, I Will Always Miss You, It's Only My World and Fate. I'd say it's far from being repetitive as each song has a different genre. Dream is more gospel, ISAMY is more jazzy, IOMW is rock and Fate is more soulful/gospel. Please elaborate on the word "repetitive".
