Living should be a human right: Imagine a King pointed a sword at your neck and told you that if you didn't dance for 8 hours every day, then you would inevitably die. How would you react?
@harmonlanager26706 жыл бұрын
Aidan O'Sullivan But it's everyone else's right not to pay your way. Your metaphor doesn't work as it's less like a king ordering executions if you don't dance but rather a king informing you that if you don't grow or earn food, you'll starve.

I like the comparison of society as a whole being a bloodthirsty king instead of a group of people who don't want to support Robbie getting high all and eating pringles all day instead of producing goods or services for the common good
@jellyfishneo4 жыл бұрын
@@jacksmith3148 no one's saying no one should work. No one should have to waste their life away working multiple soul-crushing, body-destroying jobs to get barely enough money to survive. Everyone should be given what they need to live, that should be obvious. The government should give everyone healthcare, education, utilities (water, electricity, internet, etc.) basic housing, and basic food. They don't need to give everyone a free life of luxury, but they shouldn't let people die or live in misery just because they're poor.

We, as a society, have the means to help the people who need it most. We can support them financially when they cannot do it on their own. What does it say about you that you are unwilling to do so, even when it's so easy? Are you truly so selfish that you can't stand your tax dollars *helping other people*?
@candyh42843 жыл бұрын
@@harmonlanager2670 i disagree. So long as you exist within society, you benefit from society, right? The reason we aren't in the woods fighting off wolves with pointy sticks right now is because we all collectively decided to band together and look out for one another. this is a TRADE. you TRADE your individual freedom to not give a fuck about other people when you accept the benefits of being a member of society. it's no different than, say, union dues.

The thing about the coffee, I think everyone does from time to time, because early in the morning you're tired and not awake yet, it's easy to forget things. I almost never misplace things or forget things and I would forget or misplace my coffee every once in a while. I solved this by buying a Zojirushi thermos, that is bright blue so I can easily see it. Having a dedicated item to put coffee into makes it a daily item I'm less likely to lose. Keys, wallet, phone, thermos.
