Honestly I needed this series so bad. I always want new McElroy gaming content but I LOVE Sea of Thieves even though I don’t have it yet,so this is my ideal playthrough. I do wish Justin would stop calling it bad cuz I think they haven’t even scratched the surface of all the things they can do.

I love the McElroys and Sea of Thieves! Proud of the progress you guys have made in learning the game. Wish Justin wasn't grumping quite so hard about the game- It's definitely a different pace than Fortnite but I think the pace suites you guys, plenty of time for goofs and riffing off each other.

1) I can't believe that not one person in chat told you about Wanda R.'s refuge that's hidden on Wanderer's Refuge (Hence the name, secretly!). 2) You guys did great. You fought TWO player ships and won (Winning = Your own ship didn't sink, in this game)?! Wild! 3) You can play on a galleon with four players. Y'all could REAL easily snag an experienced player to tag along and smooth out the experience with hints or just actually knowing shit. Learning how some things work from another player is the ultimate true Sea of Thieves experience! 4) Justin really dislikes this game, huh? That's not... great... for the stream. At least he has that vaporwave pirate game to look forward to! To be fair, I would be as upset as him if I were forced to stream playing Skull & Bones.

4 is the worst part. If that weren't a part of the stream it would be great. Also yeah skull and bones is Ubisoft lol. Skull and Bones won't be any easier to pick up than this game, and this game it takes like just a couple minutes to learn how to do things and then you're set.

It’s a lot easier to doc a ship by raising sails the closer you get to your destination, then you can just glide in. Then, when your sails are fully raised and the ship isn’t moving, you can leave the anchor up (as long as it isn’t badly storming)

You need to keep playing Sea of Thieves! You are barely scratching the surface, and you keep shying away from scratching further! Do a skull fort, or a mermaid shrine, or a skeleton fleet, or a tall tale. There's so much to do, and tension to face as other players swoop in to pilfer your booty. Stop worrying that every single second needs to be 100% A++ game content, or else you'll only ever do the basic, surface-level stuff. It's way better to treat the lowkey moments as an opportunity to chill and goof off with each other, in between the sweaty-palmed moments of "Will I be able to jump off the ship as we fly past this outpost and sell the Stronghold Chest before this other ship shoots their guys onto the island to kill me and steal it?"

they were clearly making a joke about how no one cares about skull and bone (or whatever the ubisoft game is called) Hence all the jokes about not knowing its name. They are CLEARLY not excited by or supporting it. I know lots of people have trouble reading sarcasm, but if you are one of those people its best to hold off getting angry at people when they may simply be being sarcastic. Also grif and justin worked for polygon ffs! y'know, one of the few fairly-left-leaning video game websites who report on things like ubisofts bad stuff! Second, regarding Polygon, I have two words for you: Nick Robinson. Nobody is above scrutiny. EDIT: And actually, Polygon went right back to slobbin' Ubisoft's knob about three minutes after the last article about the abuse allegations came out (ditto Activision-Blizzard), so fuck them in the more general sense, too. Their entire site is a monument to hypocrisy, as they uncritically worship the massive corporations that work employees nearly to death and enable sexual misconduct, yet claim to be "left-leaning".
