My hot take is that Maleficent is leagues more iconic than Maleficent (dragon). Maleficent (dragon) has a good design and is a decent boss fight in Kingdom Hearts, but is far too overshadowed by her original form's perfection to count as the quintessential dragon to me. It's like saying Wesker Resident Evil is the quintessential deformed monster blob.
