Nah, I've found the best line through Maxx C in Lightsworn (well TearSworn but still) is to actually not pass, but rather, the opposite: Combo and summon as many times as possible. Your win condition is to put so many cards in their hand, they can't find the cards they actually want to use and run out of time. I've won at least 3 games in Diamond because my opponents timed out trying to find their lethal line in Yubel or Snake Eyes trying to choose which of the 20 cards they blow up for Nightmare Pain/FKI.

Top players also struggle with time, Joshua Schmidt was talking about how at Worlds, his teams were struggling to make good decisions because they kept nearly running out of time, and even pointed out multiple misplays that happened because they nearly ran out of time. It doesn't matter how good you are, a Yubel Combo where every step is asking you if you wanna chain Squirmer can kill a player if they needs to break an established board, especially if you burned through 100 seconds on your own turn trying to decide when to Nib.

It becomes much more manageable once the Fiendsmith cards come out. Between Weiss, Charge of the Light Brigade, Engraver, and however many Tract you choose to run, you have anywhere from 10-12 ways of turning a Wulf/Felis brick into full combo.

Singleton formats like the deck the last guy played can be so much fun, darvin tried playing Brawl in Yugioh. For those that dont know Brawl and the "Highlander" MBT referred to are Formats in Magic The Gathering , Highlander is EDH(Elder Dragon Highlander) also known as Commander and Brawl is the 60 Card 1 on 1 version of Commander. Singleton can be so much fun as u have something different everytime and it is so different from normal Yugioh as it is all about consistency which is the exact opposite of a Singelton Format.

D fissure dropping is the worst. Like yes there are ways to play around it with various decks but its much too difficult. Floodgates just suck. They either don't matter or you have to draw the out or concede. One thing I love about Chaos Synchro is that it can still play when you get fissured.
