One of the dumbest ways to win with Madolche is with the continuous trap Desperate Tag, which was released about two years before the debut of Madolche. With Desperate Tag and Madolche Waltz up, if you have the field spell and 2 Messengelato you can instantly win the game given your opponent has a big enough monster on the field. If you attack with Messengelato into their bigger monster, Desperate Tag and Waltz will activate preventing you from taking damage and burning your opponent a little. Then Desperate Tag will special summon the second Messengelato from your hand while your first Messengelato will put itself back into your hand after it was destroyed. Then you can repeat this until you win the duel with Waltz Burn. I've only ever seen it work like twice.

I’m not sure how intentional this was, but a lot of Charmer support cards don’t search “Charmer” or “Familiar-Possessed” monsters, but Spellcaster monsters with 1850 atk (for the F-Ps), or Spellcaster monsters with 1500 def (for F-Ps and the regular charmers). I've been experimenting with random cards and found that a jinzo support, psychic shockwave can be used in both Kozmo and world legacy due the card requiring specifically a level 6 dark machine type monster. Kozmo has one monster that it can summon through landwalker, and World Legacy has two with World Legacy Crown and World Legacy Shield. not to mention a weirdly funny one I've noticed that Ancient Gear Box can Search, get this, SPYRAL quick fix.

During the N/R festival, I used transcicada in a monarch deck due to essentially reading like a squire or a vassal as well as having the 800/1000 stat line. Aww man, the tweet showed up on my timeline too late, I was hoping to get my Ojama x Invoked interactions in! For those interested, Ojamas have synergy with the A-Z union cards with Ojamassimilation and Ojama Pajama by either summoning their materials from deck or protection them from destruction respectively by banishing Ojamas for cost from hand field or grave. A-Z cards aren't connected by a single archetype name, so they accomplished this by saying Light Machine Fusion instead. The only light machine fusions in the game are exactly the A-Z lineup, Cyber Dragon visions, UFOroid, and Invoked Mechaba! Mechaba requires a light and an Aleister to summon, and Ojamas are light, making Ojama Invoked a surprisingly comprehendible jank deck whenever you want to weird your friends out! I don't recommend the sim interaction though, you get nothing for special summoning Aleister, but Pajama protecting Mechaba while also doing some hand control shenanigans and setting up some of your graveyard effects makes for some cool stuff!

Trap of Darkness ignores activation requirements as it just copies the activated effect. This makes a lot of high-effort Traps not just usable, but even better than before - still jank tho. Trap of Darkness + Exchange of the Spirit: brings it back to the way it worked in the anime. alternatively: Trap of Darkness + Last Turn : due to the timing of ToD, you can effectively activate Last Turn during your own turn, creating a situation in which your opponent attacks *during your turn* - assuming you don't have Jowgen or similar shenanigans. There's certainly others but those are the two that I use in my prog series.

I feel like Gale Dogra deserves a mention. Konami definitely didn’t intend for that card to be as busted as it is. There’s a bunch of ridiculous FTKs where you change it to a psychic monster using Reprodocus, use Telekinetic Charging Cell to ignore the LP cost, and then loop extra deck monsters like Omega and Herald of the Arclight (splashing Megalith Och to draw cards) to achieve any win condition under the Sun. These combos usually die to 1 interruption and are pretty inconsistent, but they can be pretty funny depending on what you chose as a win condition.

Never actually comes up but Metaltron XII, if destroyed by an opponent's card, can float into a Synchro, Fusion, or Xyz that is of either Wind, Water, Fire, or Earth attribute. This means that Metaltron XII can float into a Majestic Star Dragon which is an omni-negate for the turn and if that negate is ever used, it boardwipes the opponent.

I loved how Lair of Darkness + Ahrima is better support than anything Earthbound Immortals have gotten since release. A field spell searcher that can also search any Immortal. And that field spell helps create tribute fodder for the Immortals and makes Uru able to tribute opponent's monsters for its effect. Though it is sort of sad this is the only support playable in an Earthbound Immortal deck we have gotten.

Now, Greater Linewalker summons itself when you have that loop set up, which is helped further by the Level 5s that summon out the two synchros' Tuners. Next, he searches your Earthbound Immortal of choice. Finally, he sets your opponent's LP to 3000, putting them in kill range of fully boosted Wiraqocha Rasca, Uru, and Ccapac Apu (two of those got reprinted in the set the support came in, no less) So yes, Greater Linewalker is good support for Earthbound, even further helped with Geoglyph that makes getting them out easier in this kind of style of playing

Here's another cheeky thing you can do with Dragon's Bind. If paired with the downside of Megamorph, you can use any dragon to lock them out of special summoning. This lets you use high attack monsters with protection, like Chaos MAX, to floodgate. You could also have fun with some type changing cards, like Reprodocus, to get some other powerful cards with protection.

My favorite usage for Dragon's bind was to equip it to Evilswarm Ophion, to do this, you just need to have Dragon Bind set, and 2 level 4s on field with Ophion. You switch Ophion to defense position, then use the 2 level 4s to make Photon Papilloperative and use it's effect to switch Ophion to Attack position but it loses 600 ATK.

Vehicroid main since 2014 here. Competitive Vehicroid builds aiming to be as good as possible use Elemental HERO Necroid Shaman as part of the win condition. After you've successfully stalled until you have 6 machine monsters in the GY, including Mixeroid, you can activate Mixer to banish 6 and Special Summon Elemental HERO Necroid Shaman from your ED. This destroys any card they control and revives a 0 ATK handtrap to their field in ATK position. After this you use Vehicroid Connection Zone to turn the Elemental HERO Necroid Shaman into Super Vehicroid - Mobile Base and attack the handtrap for 5000 damage using Megaroid City. Ah, shame that I was late to the post. I was gonna suggest two of the dumbest/funniest interactions of Cyberdarkness Dragon. 1. If you have the Buster Blader Retrain on the field, and you negate monster effects on hand or field with Cyberdarkness Dragon, you can then equip that monster to said buster blader (since it doesn't care WHAT destroyed the monster), allowing you to do it AGAIN (since Cyberdarkness Dragon send ANY equip, not only the ones equipped to him). 2. Just another day on the shenanigans of Adventure Token and their Equips, as Cyberdarkness Dragon turns 1 equip into 2 negates (since as mentioned previously, Cyberdarkness doesn't care WHO has an equip card on your side of the field and the equips can re-equip themselves once per turn).

I came up with a combo like this using time thief winder in live twin. You first use almost any 2 live twin cards to get 1 lilla and 2 kisikil frost on field, use the 2 kisikil to summon toadally awesome, use winder to detach a material from toad and special summon it, then you can use winder and lilla to do the rest of the live twin play.

You can use Heavenly Dragon Circle in Pacifis control decks to tribute your Phantasm Spiral token to special summon any wyrm from deck or add it to hand. In the master duel events I just used it to bring out Phantasm Spiral Dragon, but some options I can think of are Swordsoul Taia, Mo Ye, or Tenyi Spirit Ashuna.

Tried it for a bit in Master Duel a few seasons ago and imo the main problem really is that it's a p big sacrifice for the deck's already weak turn 1. Like if you manage to start with Schmietta + Chronicle + another spell, you have to choose between getting your default end board of Verre + Bystreet or Verre + no Bystreet + but Chronicle and Patronus set up for your opp's turn. It's a really cool idea that solves Witchcrafters' resource problem (in a v explosive way) but it's a bit too inconsistent imo, ended up replacing them for restage/magician's hands lol

It's a +3 during your opponent's draw phase but all the cards you're adding suck. The problem is not the consistency of it, the whole play just accomplishes nothing and your board of Verre pass gets run over and you die

With the Blackbeard/Dragon Buster, I did a similar thing with Cyberdarks on Master Duel before the new Cyberdark support. You just use Cyberdark Cannon or Foolish Burial to send Dragon Buster, then summon Cyberdarkness Dragon to equip it. (Can technically equip on to Keel/Edge/Horn and Cyberdark Dragon, but they'd be easy to attack over since they only gain 400 ATK)

I know for me one card that surprised me on terms of synergy with a much later archetype was Cyber Emergency and Drytrons. Cyber Emergency says it can search a Cyber Dragon, that we all know. But it also happens to also search for LIGHT Machine monsters who can't be Normal Summoned/Set. Which is *exactly* what the main Drytron monsters are, so it can search any of those bois to give you better shot at plays.

Back when it was relevant, a funny interaction I liked to exploit was King Tiger Wanghu and By Order of the Emperor. Since Wanghu's effect to pop a 1400 ATK or lower monster upon summon is treated as a trigger effect and not continuous, as long as you don't miss the timing with BOotE's effect, you can negate Wanghu's effect to pop it and draw a card. This means you can safely play cards like Injection Fairy Lilly or Spirit Reaper without having them get killed by Wanghu, and plus off of it, as well.

Speaking of King Tiger Wanghu, I recently found out about a bizarre interaction it has with Al-Lumi'Raj. For those who don't know, Al-Lumi'Raj reduces the ATK and DEF of all monsters on the field by 300 x their own level or rank. You'd think that, while on the field, this card would cause a summoned Wanghu to pop itself with its own effect, due to it being summoned with 500 ATK, right? WRONG! For some reason, Wanghu's current clause of "This card must be face-up on the field to activate and resolve this effect" means that it actually misses the timing when it itself is summoned while Al-Lumi'Raj is on the field, so it won't kill itself. Naturally, the opposite events occurring - Wanghu being on the field when Al-Lumi'Raj is summoned - kills Al-Lumi'Raj with Wanghu's effect. And no, this isn't a glitch interaction from Master Duel; I've seen it happen in EDOPro and in the Link Evolution game, so it's a legit ruling.

In pre-support Fire Kings, you could summon Agnimazud with it's effect, then NS an Ash Blossom and Synchro in Mathmech Final Sigma, which in the EM Zone is immune to Garunix's board wipe, allowing you to Garunix loop while keeping an absolutely massive chungus on board. It's amusing the levels happened to line up and it was something you might as well have been running.

Surprised nobody mentioned Void Vanishment being able to search Into the Void. Into the void came out 5 years prior, and the singular card cycle you get for it probably isn’t worth searching when you can get MUCH better cards anyway. Funny enough, “Null and Void” got a name change to “Muko” after a while since it was in a Frog The Jam situation, but that errata has… yet to be printed. The latest printing of it is still called Null and Void.

A funny one is using Magical Hats, setting two cubic spell/traps and if they are attacked and destroyed by battle you can activate Unification of the Cubic Lord's GY effect. Since under Magical Hats, the cubic spell/traps are treated as monster cards.

Fun fact. You can intentionally activate Mystic Mine going 1st and Normal Summon Amano. Amano won't bounce itself since you control more monsters than the opponent most likely, and Mystic Mine makes it so you cannot activate monster effects in such a scenario

Summon whitebeard bluebeard ( plus another extended to get toad) Link into halquifibrax. Whitebeard cl1 searching golden hair( this is important to resolve last so you don’t get locked into plunders right away), cl2 halq searching dbds ( it is a tuner), cl3 bluebeard ( for chainblocking) everything resolves and now you have on field: Goldenhair Dbds Halq Link the goldenhair and halq into Blackbeard. Now you have the lock ready to set up when your opponent gives you the attribute you need

I know it's been 7 months but I just realised that you can use ariane(the labyrinth girl) to special summon ANY LEVEL 4 OR LOWER FIEND MONSTER from the DECK which makes her a great resonator one card starter for supernova lol. all you need to do is draw ariane and a trap card(red reign and imperm are free ones but you can play lost winds or something like that) to discard then specail summon crimson resonarot to lvl 6 synchro then special crimson back to go lvl12 synchro. Also ariane is searchable with resonator command as well which searches a fiend monster by discarding a resonator.

Something I used to do was a Cyber dragon build with Chimeratech Rampage dragon as my boss due to power bond. pops backrow and its a 4200 atk at that point. However, I also ran a small ABC package in there. Chimeratech lets me send light machine monsters from deck to grave, so 2 abc pieces. by that time I usually foolish burial the last piece or normal summon it for ABC Buster. BUT THATS NOT ALL. There is a card called Metalhold The Moving Blockade. making ABC spin out into its pieces, I can activate Metalhold and equip all 3 pieces of ABC buster to it, giving it their atk points combined, AND the respective protection effects of each union piece.

Very niche, but back in the day people played an anti-trap deck in Duel Links with Elemental Hero Wildheart and Tenkabito Shien. Syrus got a skill that (after taking 1800 damage or more) can search a monster from your deck that is listed as fusion material for a "roid" fusion monster in your extra deck... Which of course included Elemental Hero Necroid Shaman, which had Elemental Hero Wildheart listed as fusion material.
