Ishizu Tear is legit the strongest deck of all time. Zoodiac fanboys will get an aneurysm over that, but even recently in a big no banlist tournament TearShizu dunked on everything else.

Ishizu Tear is already the best deck of all time lol. Playing during both players turns, having the potential to play through and break any board even if you don't play on your opponents turn going second just by ensuring one of the millers proc, thus snowballing into advantage, and overwhelming every other deck by making 3 fusions during every single one of both players turns. Tier 0 in the OCG and TCG in a modern format despite all the best tools available to stop it (cards like dimension shifter, macros, fissure all at 3) and against decks that are actually good and tier 1 threats themselves who have made formats revolve around them (Spright, branded despia, swordsoul, adventure engine at full power, floowandereeze).

It’s nit the same thing though. Most of the problematic cars were available for months before they hit tier 0 status. The issue is Ishizu cards. They’re just really good engine cards like the Dragon Rulers are. Most graveyard decks are improved with the Ishizu cards and Tear just happens to be the best one right now. If you hit all the Tears then we will have this same discussion the moment a new graveyard deck drops. Watch, eventually most if not all the good Ishizu cards will be on the B/L list within a couple of years for reasons that go beyond Tear just like what happened with Dragon Rulers

@@MrZer093 Tear was only not tier 0 before the Ishizu cards because Spright was on roughly the same level, also a broken deck. And no, its not the Ishizu cards that are the problem. In case you didnt know, Tear dropped them for a while. For pretty much the entire PHHY format up until the banlist that banned Kitkalos, Tear was on 0 Ishizu cards and instead just played pure with a small Kashtira engine. And it was the most broken the deck had ever been. You do need to kill the Tear cards.

Brick is what split the decks in tiers. If they start bricking more without ishizu cards, they will start losing more. As a consequence, using another deck one time. I'm not saying that is the solution, but hitting all the ishizu will be going to make tears weaker and possibly avoid future decks to be a tier 0 threat just milling cards.

The thing that sucks is that tear is really interesting and is the culmination of a concept that’s been in the work for a while now. First lightsworn had the self mill playstyle but the stuff you could mill was mediocre and judgement dragon is only an ok end board, next shot was shaddoll with it’s on field flip and more targeted foolish play style with a plethora of ed extenders and end boards. Now tear has taken all that and turns it into it’s final form where every card mills while also doing something when milled

Thanks to ishizu, it has become much more broken and gone into the tier 0 it is. Yugioh players complain endlessly. They hate when they over-ban and they hate when they don't over-ban. They want interaction, but hate decks that cause interaction if they are "too good." In reality, most people only want THEIR pet deck to be good and nothing more. That is what it comes down to. That is why they are never satisfied about a single thing. I think Tear is pretty dang good for the game. It is fun to play and fun to play against. Way better than a million different ways to Scythe Lock or Mystic Mine or floodgate/endless negate combo you out of the game like the pre-POTE format (where everyone cried about Branded despite it being the most fair deck in the meta). You can bring the deck down to a lower level by hitting specific cards just to remove its Tier 0 strangle hold, but that is all that needs to be done. If the deck is still good for a while, who cares?

Of course the deck that triggers off three Graceful Charity and three Painful Choice will be extra busted. Tear was designed without those cards ever in mind and those cards even make the Ishizu cards a literal weak joke. So a fake format like that means literally nothing to me, 2) Tear doesn't HAVE combos. It is all stuff that triggers in the graveyard. What is the combo line of Tear? It sets up a board with a few interruptions. It is not Adamancipator or Drytron. It is like Branded and Swordsoul in how it plays. Which are both mid-range decks.

This is the problem that I have with band lists, not only do they hurt, strong decks, but they also hurt weak decks and weak decks get hurt by the band list or everyone gets hurt by the band list. It still makes for unfair advantages for strong text, always rise to the top With a rotation system. Yeah it means strong decks can get there in time to shine in the Sun, but there’s only so many hours in the day pretty much. Everything falls eventually to set rotation until the next new thing comes out.

Recently I've come to the conclusion that the actual issues are the Ishizu fairies. Look at pre-Ishizu Tear and Spright was competitive, if not arguably a bit better. The Ishizu cards prove once again that generic milling is too strong to allow to exist, while also giving the deck 12 more mill targets, interrupts, and recursion. Ban the Ishizu stuff and put Kitkallos to 1, and you coul probably leave the rest of Tear untouched.

Like he said, everything is hit hard, so it's as if nothing is. Tear is weak, but so is Spright and Kashtira(which is gone), and Magnamut is at 1.
