This is why when you see a simulator pic or even one card replay you know for a fact that it’s solely just for on paper looks. You’ll want to actually take it out for test duels and likely not believe a word of what the salesman is saying about it in terms of type. Doing a one card crazy combo end board is fine and all to show the utopian scenario where you never get interrupted and your opponent is basically not even playing. Other than that though; it’s not really worth much.

Found myself thinking this exactly. As a HERO player, I just remember being so hyped seeing the evil HERO reveals, but after everything was announced I just was kinda left sitting there thinking "ok, what else?". It feels like there was supposed to be more to help balance the deck out because it feels like we have to jump through hoops to get through combos. With the exception of dead end prision, these cards do nothing to help break through handtraps and we end up losing to the same things we did before. HERO needed more versatility, not an even higher ceiling.

I feel like if they had another card that could summon an evil hero specifically from deck, but if you controlled a fusion with dark fusion, u should summon 2. If we also got like an evil hero neos treated as OG bit could be used as any material for an evil hero fusion that would be helpful.

It really is the vision hero package thats the sore thumb of the whole deck. 3 monsters, a dump, and a polymerization search is a lot, but it is easily the most negatable combo in the history of yugioh. We need something that is similar but with less points of interaction.

For me, I think this support was made JUST for Pure Evil Hero itself. Like yeah, new HERO brews can mesh with them, but I think Konami really wants you to use the other HERO archetypes without that much meshing. Which is...weird considering the best version of HEROs is the mesh variant.

You'd think that, but if that were true you would think they'd give evil hero even more in that case. It's really hard to make neos lord with super poly without shining flare wingman. Can't make flare wingman without instant contact. Can only get instant contact through infernal rage, and it goes on from there. It feels like Konami just wanted something to release to celebrate GX's 20th anniversary and couldn't figure out if they wanted to make Omni-hero better or make evil hero viable, tried to go both ways, and ended up faling at succeeding at either.

Thing is, CBs get to play all their strong spells, and generic extra deck without any lock, and now with doomed dragon, so it's in a much better place than heros for now. I think Heros just suffer from having too much while CBs suffer from having too little, but also thrive because of it

Every week we get closer to the Crystron ten minute testing, the new support gives the deck a number of one card combos, makes it able to play well into interruptions, has the space to play upwards of 17 or 18 nonengine, and sets up multiple powerful interruptions, while also setting up plenty of follow up and being able to back it up with nonengine! The way the deck plays is extremely unique, as a lot of the plays are insulated by establishing a Crystron Tristaros on the board, which will allow you to summon a Crystron monster from the deck and quick synchro with it, any time the opponent activates a card or effect, this allows you to dodge targeted negation by using the target as synchro material in response, or to create card advantage by getting one of the many Crystron monsters into the graveyard with a powerful graveyard effect, as well as setting up the effect of Crystron Tristaros to summon two Crystron monsters from the deck by destroying a synchro monster you control! I have a deck profile and combo guide posted if anyone is interested!

If you want to play TWO MORE bricks, you can add Avian and Burstinatrix. You get them off of Infernal Devicer by revealing Backfire. Pros: 1: Makes Infernal Devicer add 2 instead of just 1 (Neos) 2: They are vanilla E HEROs with distinct attributes (relevant for Infernal Rage's bonus effect) 3: They have the correct names for Backfire even in the grave or banishment, so you can make Backfire using Dark Contact by shuffling back one of them and a banished Malicious (extra recycle). Dead-End Prison can't do this since it counts as the name on the field. In fact, if you open one of them, you can sometimes shuffle it back like that before making Infernal Devicer so you still get your add 2. 4: This definitely improves some idealized 1 and 2 card combo lines. Cons: 1: You still need to get Neos available for Favorite Contact. Worst case you search it off of Shadow Mist on the opponent's turn when you make Dark Law. Best case you send Neos if you open Fusion Destiny. 2: Like I said, it's 2 more vanillas. They're at least better in hand than Increase.

The way that I've been building this deck has been like, hyper focused on the consistency monsters, 3 dead end prison, 3 adusted gold, 3 Stratos, 3 E, etc. it certainly puts you on close to 60 cards, but it reduces your Garnet-by-volume ratios, and while you have to cut some powerful non-engine, it gets you to dark supremacy and Shining neos basically every game, which can be enough a lot of the time to totally shut out a game. I agree though, it would be nice if hero could have a new play style to go with these new cards. I never want to see increase again

Ultimately, the solution to HERO is hope we get a Structure Deck that just gives us the main deck Masked HEROs, and they’re all so good they replace every bad card and garnet we currently have to play For the time being, instead of playing the worst Fiendsmith variant, it’s best to cut the clunkiest engine in HERO to balance out hands with starters and nonengine a bit better. Super Poly is a massive brick and doesn’t accomplish much going first and nothing going 2nd, Rider is a big brick too and Dark Fusion isn’t that far behind. All you need to add to do Supremacy to the previous HERO endboard is Adusted, Necrom, Dark Contact, and Backfire. You can weave a line with them into the usual Faris pitch a HERO line, and it doesn’t compete with anything the deck already does. Evil Assault is a great extender, but you never want to search it with Adusted unless you have to. 50 card is still probably the way to go, but you can definitely cut 3-6 cards from this list to make room for more consistency and better nonengine. You can cut your bricks down to a much more manageable number.

I wouldn’t oppose an other Hero TMT, even if I’m not a huge fan of the idea of slapping Fiendsmith in Hero too. What I do believe is that the deck became significantly more complicated for relatively little pay off. Maybe it’s simply because I haven’t learned all the lines yet, but Hero pre-SUDA had a much more straightforward combo line, and the current version of the deck doesn’t even really protect you from the silver bullets Hero was already weak against. I think I might completely remove the evil hero line and keep playing the version I did before Supreme Darkness came out.

If there's something I'm hopeful about is that each type of HERO could be playable on their own instead of having this mixture as the only playable HERO deck. They could release more support of this quantity for vision, destiny, elemental, and even masked heroes! Players will obviously optimize, and keep this deck as a collection of the best heroes available, but there will be a time when the slots in the main, and extra deck won't be enough to house them all. Maybe playing 50-60 cards proves unviable, so people will start making choices of what heroes to play at the cost of others despite all of them being good, and later, each type of HERO could be a playable strategy on its own.

I genuinely believe if they made some elemental hero cards that can cut the vision hero stuff entirely and end up with the same material (2 material on field, a hero bin, and a poly in hand) without needing to play bricks would be awesome. Especially grateful if they made "neo avian" and/or "neo burstinatrix" that provides the above effects and gave the normal monster version names to more easily turn on infernal rage and backfire. This would help the deck immensely with bricks and deck space considering that full omni-heros take 50+ cards in deck to make remotely work. I wonder if some kind of neospacian support would be able to 'pull everything together'. They were always like the 'hero helpers' but haven't really seen any additions in like, forever/since release I think. Maybe give them multi names like 'Neo-Spacian Evil Hero' or something, then give them forms of hero recursion effects like shuffling banished/grave cards back into the deck, pulling garnets from your hand to the graveyard for beneficial effects, or even making some 'super spacian neos' fusion that gets use out of the super poly support and is just 'Neos/a Warrior + any amount of monsters', and then does something based on the amount of things shoved into it. idk, just spit balling here, but it feels like 'the only thing' that hasn't been explored in hero that's still related to it. if you run two wonder driver in your extra deck you can use adusted gold and evil assault as starters without having to waste shadow mist evil assault summon deadend prison, deadend prison foolish malicious, reborn malicious and link off into wonder driver, reborn malicious again and link off into cross crusader is it good? idk but hey its 6 more starters while still having the option to use shadow mist later for mask change since the evil heros arent warriors they cant make cross crusader directly but since wonder driver is a link 2 warrior it gives them a way to do it
