Thanks. I’m making a cancer care package to give to patients in the hospital.

I've been bringing my laptop, headphones (from my husband). coloring books (some of which I got early in the pandemic). I bought gloves and booties that come with ice packs to help with neuropathy ; there are a number of different brands out there. I also brought a tumbler/mug as well as a couple of snacks. My husband was able to stay with me and he kindly went to get takeout from a favorite local restaurant for lunch. I also brought a thin hoodie and a lap blanket of my own. There are some great volunteers at my treatment facility that walk around and ask if you need a beverage and/or blanket.

The blanket is a great idea!! When I had surgery, I was lucky and had it done at the best institute in the state for it so I had great care. But my point is, they gave me a super warm, cozy blanket that was as warm as if they just took it out of the dryer. And I brought my favorite blanket from home to snuggle with while I was recovering :) Blankets just make you feel so much better

Hey Mags happy labor day. Or chemo day. It worked for Alex Tribec. Spelling? Have you been following his story? Adidas should be paying you! You’re a KZbin celebrity now 👍 And now that weed is legal in Canada 🇨🇦 it would be a great distraction for you whilst doing chemo. My wife used it to get through multiple sclerosis. While she lost that fight I will forever be grateful for it. It allowed her to eat and to sleep and to laugh when absolutely nothing was funny. As always Magdalena love 💕 and best wishes to you from me in New Jersey 🇺🇸

You know what I’ve got to say I absolutely love you. Your positivity and drive to help others whilst you’re going through this is just incredible. I stumbled across your channel whilst researching lymph nodes and lumps (I had a little scare myself and turns out it’s fine) but I always watch your videos and I’m totally routing for you! Keep up the amazing work mags

I would have killed for you back when I first began my twenty year journey! I am a fly by the seat of my pants type gal and was always in need of something or overloaded myself with things I couldn't carry or use:( Great tips! Keep up the good work.

I get heated blankets and comforters, slippers and foods/cakes tea, water, coffee and juices as much as I want, so I only bring my phone and lip balm. (not in the US though)

Great advice as usual, Magda! I chuckled a bit when you held up your duffel bag and noticed that you're a walking advertisement for Adidas! Do I smell a sponsorship in the works? As always sending virtual hugs and positive healing vibes to you.

I'm just about to start chemo June 30th (tomorrow) 2023 1 treatment every 3 weeks for 3 months, then ct scan, dr's exam if tumor has shrunk surgery for a hysterectomy then another 3 months of chemo to hopefully kill the cancer, am scared as I won't be having anybody go with me, my family doesn't talk to me...I will be losing my waist length hair and that scares me, I am very self conscious and when my hair starts falling out, i am going to get my head shaved, but at the same time, my anxiety will keep me inside my apt and I will be refusing to go outside and be seen by anybody while I'm bald, I can not afford a wig so that's not an option, mentally I'm totally panicking right now, gotta admit at almost 49 years old, I'm scared and don't know what to expect, I do have a chemo port put in, did that last week as I have bad veins that like to dive on the nurses, and I'm hyper pain sensitive, this video is 3 years old, how are you doing now?

Hi Mags, did you doctor suggest you to use ice gloves and socks to prevent neuropathy? I heard a friend talking about using those things and wondering if I should use during my coming chemos. Thanks.
@MagsBujalski4 жыл бұрын
Hello! No, I have never heard of ice socks and gloves to prevent neuropathy. However, I do still suffer from a bit of neuropathy now and I think that it would be worth trying 😊

I watch your videos during chemo heheh P.s. I finally shaved my head. Got tired of watching my hair fall
@MagsBujalski4 жыл бұрын
At a certain point it becomes hard to see all the hair everywhere and it is freeing to finally be rid of it! I remember that is exactly how I felt. Also, I am happy that you watch my videos during your chemo - that means so much :)
Yeah...I HATE that. SOME people AREN'T that young. I don't feel like telling everyone on the unit I was born before 1975. It's even worse in Germany. They make you get naked while they're watching. You get no privacy at all. Then they whine about American public toilets "being so weird because the doors don't go all the way to the floor?" They do whine. Constantly. But don't mind that you have to get naked right in front of "dem Arzt." Doctor

Please add subtitles. Those of us over 50 never heard anyone speak at the rate you are speaking. There is a delay between what you saying and my comprehension. This delay also happened to me when I lived in Germany and was learning German.
