bernard is without a doubt... one of the most innovative, original, violently perfect, incredible guitarists in the world. Period. a true gem. and his production skills have turned him into (for some time now) a one in a million. His melodies (guitar) are like parallel vocal tracks. soaring all on their own. XO
@bartonim16 жыл бұрын
Well put. It really is an amazing combination--David's golden voice, Bernard's soaring guitar, and that massive 'wall of sound.'

Such a gorgeous song. Bumped into David McAlmont in the mid nineties and ended up chatting whilst queuing to get into Ministry, lovely down to earth guy with a God given voice complimented so well by Bernard Butler’ s guitar.

this song is perfection. I saw them live last week on their tour and it was amazing from start to finish. Bultler and his guitar just blow me away and McAlmont's voice is stunning

Well, I own this and Bernard's solo albums, plus some Suede. Off to pick up Duffy as well. Gosh, I love good singers! Only reason I waited on Duffy is because I live in Japan, and the J-release often has some treats--videos on the Duffy release. It's finally coming out here. I only wish Bernard and David would do more together. This song is magic!

After all these years.. I kept coming back to this song. There's something about this song that makes me feel... nostalgic. And after digging deeper on the Internet, I can only name one person = Phil Spector. The guy's been responsible for all those wonderful 60's R&B/Soul girl group.. which is what possibly inspires them to record this song & the whole album. Oh and the music itself is called wall of sound, which is also from Phil Spector. oh wow

@KedaiNasi15 жыл бұрын
nope you're wrong McAlmont & Butler's 'Bring It Back' album is their best album effort compared to the previous album I know, it's hard to blend with the powerful strings in the album but hey, the album is at its best when tipping its hat to the heady sounds of The Temptations! 'Falling' and 'The Theme from McAlmont & Butler' is the closest thing you can hear that captures the spirit of Motown's golden age and they're not on the wrong road, they're exactly where they wanted to be
