Oh thank you for showing us these :-) These are some of the best looking space dwarves I have seen in a while.

Fortuitous timing on the Space squat, given the new announcement from Games workshop. It'll be cool to see what new models they roll out and how the army is going to work

I watch painting videos, and then I look at my minis, and they seem tiny. I think that maybe I need to switch to 54mm minis, or some powerful magnification. This is a great looking mini and a fun paint job. I like how unfussy the mini is.

You could always get some sort of tabletop magnifying glass, the big ones that have like an LED on them as well.

It could be that I'm printing these guys large and have enormous hands? Stranger things have happened... ;D

Dwarves are also around fire a lot which can tan your skin just as well as the sun. Look at some pictures of metallurgists and blacksmiths. Also your mini work is amazing.

You did this and 4 weeks later we get this exiting news from GW. How about some British themed Guardsmen next?
@SonicSledgehammerStudio2 жыл бұрын
Yes, the uh... the 'Guardsmen of the Fallen Gate' or something along those lines, yeah? 😂

That's a terrific model and paint job. I love the weathering. I hope the models come out sans printer soon--I don't have any ventilated room in my house for resin printing, but I am such a sucker for space dwarves.

That rough weathering effect is something I feel like I've really missed on my models... Thanks for the video as usual! Got to say, painting for fun really does bring out a sense of play in your models that really makes the most out of a streamlined process.

That's an interesting observation. Not something I've noticed myself, but now you mention it, that's probably true!

OH color theory! So orange covers better over skin tones because of the magenta. There are three primary colors: yellow, magenta, and cyan. Yellow and orange are much more opaque and vibrant over pink/magenta. It’s also why it helps to base coat yellow models pink!
@ShadowlessFist2 жыл бұрын
This is an important piece of info! I was really struggling to get smooth coats of orange on my Astartes and worse still if I had to clean up a darker colour that I got on my orange.

Man, if you ever wanted Squat models for 40K these dudes look pretty damn good as proxy models. Great paint job. Definitely has an Astra Militarum look. Also, now I know what colors to buy to paint my fiance's Boba Fett miniature : D

These look fantastic :D And what a great paintjob you did! :D Ahh, can the world stop being crazy so I can get enough money together for a 3d printer. xD

you can make a video where you apply all basic colors, and then really brush the entire model with vallejo ivory dry, so you do not have to put edge accents with the brush. ps: with fabric you use this technique constantly, how dähre this technique times also on armored plates and other to apply ... ?
@furiousv7752 жыл бұрын
8:35 with the large brush is why i tune in. Update the paints used list you miscreant.
