This was the best diy tutorial I have come across. I just finished my shield and man it is literally night and day difference. I bought this shield knowing the trigger was going to be a problem for me and I’m so glad I bought the spring kit and followed this wonderful guide. My internal parts are mirror finished and I took the time to do the feed ramp while I was at it. Thank you MCARBO. For those who are reading, I found ordering the extra 10pk of the sand paper really came in handy if your parts have excessive sharp corners like mine. Follow the guide you will not be disappointed.

I just did this to my 2.0 9mm , I did it all step by step . WOW what a difference, the trigger feels like a real trigger now . You can feel the wall and a clean break . Reset is quick . Pretty damn amazing what a difference for a few bucks and some time . Now I just need to replace the trigger shoe and she’s ready!

2023 I’m old school with an M&P .45c I bought the spring kit/polish and followed the video. Very satisfied with the result! Light and smooth! Two slight differences in my model: The Safety cap under the rear sight was a flat disc so a little more troublesome to reassemble. The more difficult issue for me was the sear spring and metal top that rides under the sear was about 1/3 the diameter of the video. So I used the OEM spring on that and had a devil of a time getting it back into the tiny hole beneath the sear. I recommend tweezers and a pair of reading glasses! I didn’t polish as long as the video, I think the sanding the trigger bar and safety stop was worth it though. Thanks for an affordable upgrade!

I've been using Mcarbo parts for past few years, This is the best they test and make sure every part functions to perfection. The videos are indepth and very informative. I'M A CERTIFIED GUNSMITH AND LICENSED FFL DEALER. I only use parts I trust and I like. I recommend Mcarbo to all my customers if parts are available, I have Mcarbo parts in my personal guns as well. The M&P 9mm is my next one to do since it's stock and want to upgrade it. And as a side note customers can see Mcarbo parts for themselves and not me just recommending it

This was my first try with doing a trigger upgrade, I had a M&P Shield 9mm and purchased a M&P 40 and the trigger felt harsh and gritty compared to the Shield, so I got ordered and installed this kit with the polishing, now I am going to have to get a kit for the Shield, what a difference this kit makes. Thank You for an awesome product and the video with your enthusiasm is great.

I recently purchased a 2.0 compact and was initially disappointed in the trigger out of the box especially after seeing many videos touting the great improvement of the 2.0 trigger so planned to do this but went ahead and fired a hundred dollars of hardball through it , (2 boxes) which went by too quickly , and I'm glad I did . The trigger now is a perfect duty trigger for me .

Just finished my kit install for my M&P 45. A few things guys. My 45 has an ambidextrous safety. So, when you pull that apart be prepared to make a guide pin to get it back together. I used a piece of TIG welding rod and beveled the edges to let it guide out the pin holes better. Also, the sear spring in my kit was too big so I never go to put that in my gun. The original sear pin spring was quite a bit smaller in diameter. I polished and added the new MCarbo springs and the trigger is better, not mind blowing, but better. Over all I am happy but I did have to overcome a few differences from this video.

Great video. Saved my butt big time when I was putting the striker safety guide back in and trying to work the sight at the same time. My M&P 9 did not have a little post for the spring to sit on and trying to balance that cover with a loaded spring and hit the sights back in was not fun. Love how thorough your videos are! Made this work super easy (besides what I mentioned, and that was NOT your fault)! Can't wait to buy more of your products for my other firearms. God bless!

Good work. And at 43: "way too expensive" for mass production. No, it is not. There are several plating and electropolishing shops within a few miles of the New S&W world headquarters. Some of the trigger bars I have examined still have the original stamping shear surface on the Cam Lobe. Rough as a cob. Get with it S&W.

This kit didn't work for me. I watched the video as I followed the steps to install the spring kit. I ran into a problem installing the parts back into the frame. The trigger spring tool was too wide and I had to cut it down to be able to complete the trigger spring assemble to frame installation. I didn't do as much polishing on the parts as the video showed, but I did do some polishing of the striker, sear and trigger bar. My trigger pull was about 6 lbs before installing the upgrade kit and the trigger pull is about 6 lbs after the installation was completed. The first movement of the trigger now has a sticky spot. I am not sure what went wrong with the installation. I have the California version of the S&W M&P SHIELD with the thumb safety. I have been shooting for 50+ years and have worked on my Colt .45 several times. What do you recommend I do to fix the trigger pull weight? NOT HAPPY!

Yeah, it depends on the type of feeling you're going for. The friction causes a noticeable amount of "grit" in the trigger, if you smooth down any burrs will make the trigger feel more crisp. But the springs tend to be the lion share of weight through the pull weight.
