Under Obama, they moved so fast. By the time they grabbed my green card holder cousin for shoplifting, ( numerous times) he called us that they, the next day he was in VA (from NY) his dad got a lawyer by the time we could take the retainer to him, my cousin was on a flight to Jamaica. So, they will move swiftly!

For people asking if you need to take your Green Card everywhere, the answer is yes. It's proof that you're legally in the United States, it's required by law. Make a copy of your Green Card front and back and put it in your safe at home make to get a safe that is rated for fire and water resistant.

You will need to pull over and be truthful. If your case is pending the documentation will show this. What you need to do is make sure you know how to locate the official reference for pending status. Whether this involves phone numbers, agency titles or official websites. Be able to locate this status official location.

Sounds like a person in this situation is asking for a lot based on the fact that the courts are overwhelmed already with more straightforward to the point cases. This may be another situation where one may want to self deport. The main thing is you do not want to get deported and not be able to remotely qualify for legal immigrant status for [at least] 5 years.

You will be fine once they know your residency status, unless you have a serious criminal record.

Let's just say they are not supposed to keep your green card. This is where having a thorough understanding of African American history comes into play. So have copies of your green card. Also have and official copy on your phone also email copies of your green card status directly to ICE and be able to reference those emails. Also consider emailing all of your information directly to ICE and the Department of Immigration today... right now and always include "please advise" if they find any discrepancy.

Yes, ICE will be taking people off of trains, out of schools, hospitals, church and out of the workplace. The idea is especially at work: If your company tries to harbor you or present false information on your behalf this can come back on the company, your coworkers and of course yourself. We are talking prison time here. So be very careful trying to hide or anything on that level. If one practice to deceive will probably result in immediate confinement/ detention and then deportation.

Also remember the outcome of any situation is basically up to the individual officers or agents' discretion. In Mexico even Mexicans carry large sums of money to avoid problems. Got to understand that agents and officers are going to be given a lot of wiggle room to search your car or home. Also, plenty of wiggle room to force you to produce papers stating your status. So, if you know you are not correct. If you know you are not legal by all means self deport and file from outside the country.
