That setting is as California as you get. The locals too.

This was Star Treks way of commenting on the Vietnam War. Only the news could comment on the war per the networks. Star Trek got around it.

Exactly. The fact that wars could still be somehow possible in the Star Trek future is all the more depressing.

@@mikebasil4832 OG Star Trek always had a militaristic feel for some reason. When TNG came out, it became more like how conflict can still happen in a utopia, and how it’s important to protect that utopia

Hey Paul.. do you have any clips of The Paradise Syndrome? It’s my favorite all time TOS episode… I believe it’s the only time Kirk got married…

Hi Mark, I don't believe so. I will check my playlist for those episodes.That episode is from season 3 I think. If I had that episode on DVD I would post a few clips.

Ned Romero was a great character actor! !!! Here he plays a Klingon !!! One thing he did a lot of was playing Native.Americand !!! This wasn't a stretch because Romero.himdelf was Native American. He played one in Wesley Crusher's final.epidode of Next Gen, Journey's End !!! He also played several such characters in Walker , Texas Ranger !!!

This scene in no way should be applied to Ukraine or the current Israel-Palestine conflict.
@teleportedbreadfor3days27 күн бұрын
This has nothing to do with any of that, don’t bait people. And both conflicts are very different
@rustysanchez841627 күн бұрын
@@teleportedbreadfor3days actually, the entire episode is about proxy war. Is the US providing advanced arms to Ukraine, who is fighting against Russia? Are we not providing arms to Israel, who is fighting Hamas? Does Iran provide weapons to Hamas? I wasn’t baiting or making a moral judgement. Obviously you’re too obtuse to realize the beauty of art and the writing if this episode in particular is that it’s often timeless.
@teleportedbreadfor3days27 күн бұрын
@@rustysanchez8416 You literally just assumed I was baiting and crap, how am I the obtuse one? You’re even seemingly acting like the Ukraine Invasion and the Israel-Palestine Conflict aren’t that different from one another, unintentionally or not.
