Drai is a sniper and arguably 2nd best in league. He deserves his 14m solely based on his super bargain contract as it was. Mcd at 16 I can see aswell. Bouch breaking records that were deemed untouchable, and scoring at a ridiculous rate , I'm even good w that 10m. Now we need to reshape nurse, love ekholm, broberg finally found his way. We ll need to find a way to get skinner long term on a decent win win contract ( incentive bonus like smith) and hope our main supports like nugent, Hyman, Kane, foegel, mcloud, can maintain their composure, and maybe we can get a couple cups before we have to rebuild.

Until Bouch gets better at defence, he's not worth 10, we already have one of those. I'd have Connor at 12, Leon at 10 and Bouch at 8. I'd have the regular performance bonus stuff on top of that. That leaves about 70 mill (with that supposed new cap) to solidify the team around them. This playoffs has shown us all there's still pieces missing, especially this last round. They should have kept Kostin and Bjugstad and it would be best if they bought out Campbell if they're not going to utilize him.

Amazing news about McDavid and Draisaitl but those numbers seem high to build a super team. Can they defer any money? Maybe 12 & 10 but defer 2 each 250,000 per year for 8 years? I am however not excited at all signing Bouchard to any kind of long term deal. Especially at 10 Million per. Why so he can get a lot of second assists? Give the puck away more? And be on the ice for a LOT of the other teams goals? Never move anyone from in front of the net? I don’t like him and we should trade him.

McDavid 15, Draisaitl 13.5, Hyman 5.25, Nuge 5.5, Kane 6.05 so that’s 70.3 million out of 100 million? Oh brother we are in trouble! We have many many UFA and RFA next year and will have some tough decisions on: Broberg, Holloway, Henrique, Foegele, Carrick, Janmark. All players that I would want to see back. Sorry but Perry, Gagne, Ernie, Stetcher, Brown (maybe if you took league min with x points as incentives?) I’d take him. But those others move on from.

This playoff performance does not justify the price . Too much tied up leaving questionable goaltending and bottom six playing in the top 6. Would be great to keep all three and Skinner will only get better with experience but unless the cap is adjusted for the cities that are taxed to death this won’t work.

The thing is the three hockey players on the Edmonton Oilers are five times better than Austin Matthews. Should package Draisaitl and nurse in a trade. I don't think Draisaitl is worth that much, maybe if he'd work on his defensive play. Nurse's stock has had to have fallen in these playoffs, he's the worst dman in the NHL. Send them both to Boston for a goalie and possibly a REAL dman imo.
