The name of that technique is clearly a _double figure X shoulder lock._ anyway all of the Kalaripayattu I've ever seen here on youtube seems to be mostly weapons based fighting combined with a calisthenics workout. Never seen anyone show anything on pressure points. If it truely is the oldest martial art in the world I honestly would expect it to be heavily based on weapons.

@@bravelilspidey I'll take a rather low % chance of contracting an illness than allow my jaw to be yanked down and broken. If the guy has HIV or something else bad he probably wouldn't have the strength to get to this position in a fight as is, and it's actually harder to contract than the stigma would suggest. Okay so simple answer, its a leg full nelson. As insane as this sounds I actually did hit it once while messing around, I think I finished it by turning to my belly and extending my legs, kinda like what you would do with one of the triangle variations Fedor used to teach. @jordak
@jordak 2 жыл бұрын
The surfboard is more similar, with both arms held behind the back, and the foot or knee pressed against the spine. The camel clutch is usually done while sitting on the back, and pulling the neck upwards. Speaking of techniques best known from pro wrestling, that finger in the mouth technique reminded me of the mandible claw!

I'd call it The pooper scoot super pretzelization I got in a fight once and tried to grab a guy by the neck. I wound up with 4 fingers in the guys mouth and I grabbed as hard as I could, mainly because I panicked as his mate came at me. A friend of mine managed to get up and deal with guy 2 before I got too busted up as my free a was mainly working defence. Hit the guy I had hold of by the upper jaw a few times and he stopped trying to fight. To this day I have no idea why he didn't bite down but I'm glad I still have all my digits. He just seemed so busy trying to pull my hand out he forgot he could bite or punch I guess.

So I've actually seen that technique used by Hawaiian Police, and I think it was meant to be more like a resting position after wrestling with someone for some time. The need for that came around after protests broke out due to the signing of a bizzare Hawaii law which banned laughter above a certain pitch, Which ment those on the island could only use a lo ha. Oh right, they called the technique the shoulder blade rubntug, and it's not actually a wrestling technique, but it is featured on page 23 of the Kama Sutra.
