Us Malaysians are definitely proud of our food culture, and we hold the same standard for big franchises too. Even our Maggie instant noodles (curry flavoured to be exact) is deemed as top tier, and many Malaysian students even make a fortune selling them overseas whenever they came back after semester break. If the food is bland, it won't sell among Malaysians 😂 and the street food (easiest to find at our pasar malam) or family-run businesses are where you'll find all the best local food.

Maggie Curry had its peak back in 30 years ago where you can smell the curry flavour outside your house when your mom cooks it. Or when you smell that in your house but there's no one at the kitchen you know it must be your neighbour cooking Maggie Curry. Flavour wise it has gone down 70% at least from the taste it should be.

Friendly reminder, if you dine in at Malaysia fast food restaurant, there's a sauce station in some corner, so you can freely help yourself with it, the most basic sauce are tomato sauce and the chilli sauce, at the KFC there's supposed to have both of them and one addition which is thai chilli sauce which is my favourite 😅,most of the westerner who tried our Malaysian fast food franchise usually complain the food don't have any sauce or too little so would be a help if they would know this information first hand

Malaysia’s McD have a lot of seasonal items offered either during certain festive seasons or throughout a period of time as limited offers (could be more than once within a year). So it keeps everyone always looking into their menu from time to time to see what would pop-up for the day. It’s fun and entertaining and creative as well😊 We take McD’s pie for example. The all time available (permanent) pie is apple pie. But on other occasions or limited time frame, you could get banana pie, pineapple pie, corn pie, coconut pie, pulut hitam santan (black glutinous rice with coconut milk) pie, taro (yam) pie, and many more! *At least more than 10-15 flavors (of pie) offered in Malaysia McD’s so far and on going.. My personal favorites are banana pie, pineapple pie & corn pie ❤😊

Since there’s a lot American KZbinrs are doing similar content on Malaysian MCDonald’s , it ‘s getting super predictable and annoying. I highly recommend you to do other American franchises e.g. Taco Bells, Texas Chicken, Subways, Burger Kings and the list goes on.. Btw from all the other American wannabe KZbinrs, I found that your contents are the most genuine and sincere. I wish you well in getting more subscribers here in Malaysia and Eid Mubarak my friend .. I wish I am in KL right now so I can invite you and your GF to my open house. Unlike in America, when we celebrate Thanksgiving or Christmas, it’s only for the close families or friends but here in Malaysia when we celebrate Eid, we invite and welcome all to our home for a big great feast. Enjoying your contents and another suggestion if you going to be in Malaysia for a long period of time, I highly recommend to interact with the local, in experiencing what Malaysia truly is

Yeah, we normally have the chicken porridge when we're feeling sick or fever, or when we feel a little blue. Grg is the abbreviation for Goreng (Fried). The spicy chicken even taste better than KFC's "Hot and Spicy chicken". I like the fried chicken on it's own. But most would probably dip it with ketchup or chilli sauce. Some of Malaysian love to dip the fries 🍟 into the sundae, it's the hot and cold, salty and sweet combo.

I think the porridge got a little bit more salty after you add in the white/black pepper powder. I think that powder has some MSG or salt added in. The porridge is already good by itself, no need to add the powder. This is my personal opinion since the saltiness of the porridge is already good as is. The spicy chicken is also much more spicy than KFC spicy chicken so I can confirm they didn't take the chicken from there. Love your video. It's a balance between talking and ASMR. The black seeds on the wrap bread is chia seeds or quinoa if I'm not mistaken. Glad you had a fulfilling experience eating food here. Sending love from Malaysia.❤

Im glad you enjoyed mcdonalds here! Ayam grg stands for ayam goreng which means fried chicken And the porridge isnt overcooked because we normally cook the porridge for a long time so we get a mushy texture so its easier to swallow when you are sick 😅 Next time you should try their gcb or nasi lemak!

You should try Ramly Burger. It is being sold by stalls at the roadside. Believe me the taste is superb and far better than any burger in town. When u order try Special Burger (beef + egg + cheese). So far, every of my foreign friends said that is the best burger that they have ever had

Nice video review! 1. Porridge, Not all chili peppers are meant to be spicy. 2. Next time, have the Ayam Goring Fresh and dip it with the chili sauce while it’s still Hot 🔥 you’ll taste the difference. 3. The fries in Singapore is definitely different, they don’t serve soft fries and theirs are definitely not salty as ours. 4. Try dipping hot fries in ice cream 🫶🏽

Suprise...Foldover usually only exist in fasting month in Malaysia.if you can find oneoutside the fasting month, you are so lucky..that special sauce is garlic sauce..usually for chicken. and spicy sauce for beef foldover..but now you can choose any sauce for your patty..😊

you know what, when that ayam goreng spicy first came out on the menu, i was fall in love with it, i meant deeply madly in love with it. to be honest, i had it almost everyday. god! the feeling...was amazing. yes the consequence of that crazy loves, i managed to gained weight a lot i mean a lot hahahahahahahaha, so i had to quite. now, i eat it 1 or 2 times a month sometimes once a month. hahahaha yes, im not gonna lie, that chicken is the best!! and for the porridge, we as a mom, when our kids fell sick, that porridge will be the first thing came up to our mind. tasty, fulfilling and easy kids friendly.

Haha wow that is a wild ride. At least you got your fair share of it and have your temptations under check now. Seems like everyone's go-to sick meal is the McDonald's porridge. Malaysia McDonald's should be happy. 😝😃

On of the reason why Mc D beef or chicken burgers are more delicious is bcoz the animals are required to be slaughtered the HALAL way. There are big differences ....plus the spices had been modified to Malaysian taste. Don't forget that Malaysia is a heaven for Food.
@Reardon_Explores Жыл бұрын
Exactly! I have done some research on the processing of animal deaths to the kitchen. Many foreign cultures (outside of US) have super intriguing theories/ways of processing them have positive effects on the taste of food.

Malaysia fried chicken market is extremely competitive so if you fail to deliver what general public want ie crispy skin with soft and tender flesh some people might buy it but the majority will actively avoid it i always avoid KFC and McDonald fried chicken because their chicken flesh tend to be overcooked
@Reardon_Explores Жыл бұрын
That's interesting! But, I found that the McDonald's chicken was quite good and the skin was cooked to perfection. Mostly in the US, you will find chicken skin to be more fatty and less crispy, which is disappointing!

McDonald's: Malaysia have some form of employee motivation, everyone might know, the job is quite terrible, which the contract might cheekily offer depression, but in Malaysia, we take the notes with japan and make the job alot more cheerful, what i see, McDonald's locations are always ought for local in order of hiring the local population of the area, henceforth everyone know each other. So yeah lovely discipline and motivation.

If you ever come down to Singapore 🇸🇬, we have seasonal menu too :)! Seasonal (cant name all): Prosperity Burger (Peppery) Nasi Lemak Burger (Spicy Sweet Sambal) Har Cheong Kai Burger (Prawn Paste) Samurai Beef Burger (Sweet Teriyaki) Ninja Chicken Burger Hokkaido Salmon Burger Rendang Sedap Angus Beef Burger Seoul Spicy Burger Signature special: Angus Beef Buttermilk Chicken (personally my favorite along side their regular menu Filet-o-Fish) We have McCrispy which used to be a legacy menu in the past and they brought it back. I kinda forget the taste but it wasnt bad. For Singaporeans, we really like our McGriddles (breakfast), McSpicy and Filet o Fish burger. Oh, you wouldnt want to miss out our Chilli sauce, it is definitely unique here in Singapore 😉 Lastly, our McNuggets with Curry Sauce is a matchmake in heaven!
