If there's one thing I learned from Steve is to be happy with the little things in life. Can't see the little stealth camp from street? Happiness. Cook a nice meal out in the open? Happiness. Get a ride to a camping spot and getting picked up after? Happiness. Light rain only? Happiness. As Steve would say: Doesn't get better than this! Love it.

Refreshing, huh? I mean, it’s essentially the diametric opposite of what most people use social media for. You know… vicarious narcissistic supply, recreational outrage, identity politics… all that good stuff. Steve’s content is the antidote.

I recently drove from Florida to Greenville, South Carolina to visit a friend. While sitting around the fire with her 60 yro neighbor I'd never met, the subject of favorite KZbin channels came up. Camping with Steve was a common thread - we all love it. Steve's appeal is universal.

I think your concern at the end is unwarranted, whether your videos are late, or your videos are "boring" (they're never boring), or even if they're just videos of you silently reading, we'd still be here waiting to watch and share in the adventures with you. You're the big grown-up kid we all want to be, just out there enjoying the simple things and creating an infectious environment of kindness and connection in your comments section / community following. Your videos have gotten me through some really dark times in my life, so I'm grateful even just to see you at all. Keep on Camping, so we can be With Steve!

@@dakotaellis9978 Absolutely, I don't even see it as a full fledged camping channel, it's more like a way for us to hang out with Steve every week - It just so happens we hang out at campsites (Or sometimes in shrubs and bushes, wrapped in trashbags, during a thunderstorm). Between him and his English equivalent Kent Survival, it's just endlessly peaceful. genuinely feels like you're just off with your friend - I just wish the videos were longer. I'd happily sit and watch a 30-40 minute video here. Also it would be awesome to see Steve and KS do a collab, but I do fear the serenity may achieve ultimate enlightenment and Steve will transcend us all.

A tip... Spray the bug spray on a sheet wipe and wipe any part of your body you can reach especially on your face. You can keep the spray out of your eyes a lot easier. A lot of the spray which you just spray on yourself just goes in the air. You can reuse the sheet wipes until they either get dirty or fall apart.
