It's been like 20 years since I've worked at McD's but our product management was always horrible. Everything had like a 25 minute shelf life. So we'd just cook and fill up all of the trays til it was stocked especially during rush times. Almost always we'd never throw out the product after experation unless if it actually looked bad. And sometimes the more meat stuffed in a tray kept the meat fresher because there was more grease and steam in there. But mainly nobody wanted to throw out so much food and get in trouble for it or not have enough and run out and get yelled at for that. And you never knew when you would get a surge of orders or when it just ...stops. So what impresses me in these videos is the quality management of keep things fresh. I suppose it's smooth when you have the staff to be on point at every station. But I feel like most places have two people running the entire grill area bouncing around without that kind of time to keep up on cabnet times. I've been to plenty McD's these days where it takes them 10 minutes per car. (Especially in OBX N.C.!)

My new favorite channel. Like some of the commenters said, for some reason this is so satisfying to watch. I guess it's intriguing to seeing the POV of the workers behind fast food. That being said, I'm gonna get myself a double quarter pounder with cheese tomorrow c:. And I'll be honest, you putting those burgers together like you mean it. As someone who has worked fine dinning over 10 years I have mad respect for the work you do. Keeping your area organized, working well with your coworkers, consistency of product. I know in corporate places like this someone can come in with a scale and rip your ass cause you are 8 oz under on your pickle inventory. Everyone has these images of the lazy disrespectful kids working fast food always on break, the reason you see those kids is cause someone like Stephen is hauling ass in the back. The systems in essentially a relaxed brigade like they use here could translate to fancier places so honestly if he ever wanted to move to elevated dining he totally could, hes already got the ethics lots of places pray for.

This video seems to be shot at a relatively less busy moment. Keeping the work space clean and organized during any fast food rush hour is almost impossible. Not that the vid creator isn’t doing a good job, but this vid is a bad reference for what it’s usually like on a fast food line.

Hey Stephen, I am very much enjoying these videos. Does the Quarter-Pounder come fresh with each order or was it just busy this time? Anyway if I ever come to the US and especially OH I will need to get one of those, since they aren't available here in Germany. Lots of love, Jan

American living in Germany. The royal Käse is the same thing as a quarter pounder. The states does have a double quarter pounder which is popular, but I think the extra meat ruins the balance of the other ingredients
@sc2thebruce3472 жыл бұрын
Oh thanks, I didn't know that. I mean I always loved the Royal Käse, but it seems like there is a different patty in the Quarter Pounder, while the Royal Käse has the same as the normal Ham- or cheeseburger I think. Maybe I'm wrong about that, but nonetheless I will keep enjoying each and every McDonald's meal I order :D
