Kilmer's suit was really cool, and Kilmer in genera is an underrated Batman/Bruce Wane, it's just the goofy tone of the film that makes his performance get overlooked.

It is hard for me to choose a live-action movie suit. Right now I am fascinated with The Batman tactical suit. It feels raw and roughly put together. The Batfleck one is also pretty neat, I love it as well as it feels like an actual comic-book costume. But I feel like this one, from the Nolan Trilogy, feels more real-world-like.

Of course it has a real world feel, Batfleck deals with fantasy Aliens from Space while still giving you a “real” feel but Nolan’s Batman suit is utilitarian and grounded with reality

My favorite Live action Batman suit is the armored Batman suit from BVS. I want to see a Bane review. That leg looks hilariously misshapen. I personally really like Two-face in this wave, he's the only figure I got because I needed a Two-face for my Batman Rouges Gallery shelf.

There's also been some QC issues with how the pauldron is glued onto the shoulder, where glue also gets onto the bicep under the pauldron. Effectively locks out bicep swivel unless you play doctor. Had this happen on both of my shoulders.

ROBERT FUCKING PATTINSON. The cowl resembles a skull with bat ears, that's fucking badass. I also love how the armor plating resembles musculature. I like how it leaves room for improvement in future suits, I bet it will get more comic accurate in the next movies

Hmm not really I don’t think any of the suits are great, but it not comic accurate in terms of only 1 main comic the dark knight returns which isn’t a main Batman, his symbol is too big and the ears are also too small, he actually looks short because of his suit. It critiquing. His suit and if you look at it you can actually see what I mean. Bale was big in begins the problem is that the fights weren’t action packed like Zack’s version. This isn’t even my favorite suit it Arkham City’s version

I was initially excited to get the Nolan Trilogy wave because I grew up with it and a mix of old and new Batman media (Brave & the Bold, BTAS, 2004 Batman, Adam West), but now I'm realizing I'd rather get the old Movie Masters figures. Also favorite Batsuits are Returns, the Forever Panther suit, TDK suit, and every Batfleck suit except for the regular one that he has before the Tactical suit in ZSJL and the Flash movie suit. Also why not let's add Adam West as a favorite.

Batfleck has definitely the best suits imo. Speaking about McFarlane, I want to love this company because they clearly make an effort with paintjob, pricing, size and (sometimes) sculpt....but I 100% agree they should get better people to design the engineering. These ARE action figures after all.

Gotta give it to the Batman Returns suit. It has a weird presence that just works for me. Under-appreciated suit for me would the Sonar Suit from Batman Forever. I respect what they went for regarding the BvS and ZSJL suits, but I just never liked Affleck and not just because of Batman. I also like the Pattinson suit from the 2022 movie because it does feel incomplete, a work-in-progress… McFarlane figures are either really hit or absolute miss. Something they can’t do is a good neutral pose that look normal. Seeing the arms fall off like this is really bad makes me think they had to get them out on the market at some point… and we are way past the 10th anniversary of The Dark Knight Rises.

Im a fan of the Returns suit, but I gotta give credit to The Batman suit. It does the tactical look that TDK does, but it fixes a problem most Batsuits have: the cowl. The first 5 films had immovable necks to work with the cowl, and then TDK had the mask be a seperate piece. The problem was that it messed up the silhouette and put a gap in the neck area. The Batman suit does something great: it adds a collar. This is honestly the best of both worlds, and I'd love to see this more going forward.

I really like the flexible material they went with for Batfleck's cowl in BvS. Allowed him to turn his head without loosing that thick neck look.

​@@JeffZ1028so cool, but it wasn't just the material, there was a whole mechanism to make the neck moveable, but WB didn't credit Iron head studios in BvS so they didn't return to make batflecks suits later on and the suits had worse movement

Why do companies not use soft goods capes? Is it really that much of a price difference. As an example a black series Darth Vader always has a soft cape, but the mandalorian figures have plastic capes.

Thanks for the review Anthony. Although I do not collect DC, I love watching reviews. This one was no different. It helps that I love Bats. It is rather disappointing to see the indiscretions of quality on this product. From the details, and other deco on the buck - they went to some effort to make it appeasing. Yet when an arm is can be taken by Darwin, you know it is not good. I hope the Joker goes a lot better. Why does it appear to me that McFarlane and Marvel Legends suffer from this poor quality. Is it in the engineering of the buck or do you think this is a manufacturing error? Both?

My favorite live action Batman suit is the Batman Begins suit. I love how the cape drapes over him i that one, and the neck of the cowl flows down to the cape. Even if it meant he couldn't turn is head as much as would be practical. The TDK suit is a good upgrade to it though.

For nostalgia's sake, I like the Adam West suit for its simplicity but in terms of looks and practicality, I like the Pattinson suit. The piecemeal bat logo on the chest is the icing on the cake.

BvS suit. It looks like the most believable blend between comic book and reality. It looks skin tight, muscular, and flexible, but you also believe that it could protect against knife and gun fights. That's how you do it. It perfectly translates the comics to the big screen

Hey Anthony! I just got mine and I found that yours must have some qc issues. Mine's upper torso CAN definitely move forward and my arms doesn't pop out easily. Also the shoulders aren't stuck so the arms can be bent down closer to the body, which makes the figure looks significantly better. Too bad that you got a bad qc one tho. I really like this fig and I wish it got a better score from you

Didn't expect to see you reviewing this one! I hate I got one with bicep swivels which won't swivel, they were glued. Returned it and the new one has the same issue. And it's all because they are either glued or they'll fall off like yours. Your Bane leg is messed up haha plenty of figures in this wave have defects. I saw some people getting two left feet for Bane. It's very disappointing as the rest isn't bad in the figure even though the suit is too gray. Good review (The boomerangs are the right color, not black)

This costume was redesigned partway into The Dark Knight, replacing the first suit from Batman Begins, the Batarangs should be much smaller, But they were all gold, And yes the grappling gun should have some black, Okay your figure has arms falling off at the bicep swivel ??? well I cant get mine to swivel at all !!! Even tried using a hair drier to loosen it up and they wont move, But I think I like that more than having them falling off, I wouldn't have even known that was an articulation point if not for your video., so thanks for that, even if it was due to your figure falling apart like that Still my fave Batman movie and actor playing him, I've accepted the flaws, because they're not gonna make another version of this suit, so it's as good as it can be. (Well I can get a wired fabric cape online if I want) Oh yeah, my Bane legs are perfectly fine, not bent in the odd way your legs are ? This shows some serious Quality Control issues at McFarlane, but I've never really had any problems with my 14 different hero versions of Batman, nor the 8 various villain versions of him, Nor the 7 different villains from the world of Batman, all from McFarlane, So it's all a gamble and random as far as flaws go I think. My favorite suit, overall, is the BVS suit. Probably my least favorite writing for Batman, but it was the most comic accurate suit. Went overboard with the padded muscles. Looked like a kid's Halloween costume in some shots. Give it a more human body shape, trunks, white eyes, and longer ears, and that's basically a perfect comic accurate batsuit. Batman Returns has my favorite cowl, and batnipples aside I think the two suits from Batman Forever are pretty nice.

I dunno I was liking McFarlane figures up till the Dark Knight Returns wave... to me that was the turning point: bad articulations, minimal painting (I remember in early 2000s when mcfarlane figures had THE best figure's painting!) and things falling apart... Then I got Grifter and that's was that for me... was expecting so much and it wasn't even to par with previous releases so I just quit McFarlane figures 🤷🏻‍♂️ Will buy the Batmobile will try to get the Batwing but that's that...

This, like so many other Mcfarlane figures, badly needs to be redone. From a monetary pov, that move would be a licence to print money. Ditch the grey colouring, beef him up, sort out the articulation, make sure arms dont just pop off.

You can put the arms further down to his sides, the problem is the pegs are really stiff so you have to heat it up. The figure would've been better if it weren't for the arms pretty much..
