This is an exceptional figure for the price. The details are incredible. I just wanted more hands instead of those ridiculously oversized batarangs. You can extend the arms If you move the shoulder pads above the cape. Who can bend their toes that high?I think you're reaching there.

I'm guessing the multiple oversized batarangs was done as a budget thing seeing as they didn't need new molding to have 3 of the same thing. The toe bends aren't really all that important anyways seeing as mcfarlane figures can't do many good poses, which is a shame knowing how much more range each of these joints traditionally get and they typical absence in lines around this price range.

For the shoulder problem pop the arms off and take out the butterfly joints, pop the arms back in and push the arms up, this should make the arms more narrow

It's worth a fix and upgrade, with his arms rest down on both sides...🙄but it snaps off easily😅I already know that mcfarlane will try, and release them in another time with a better articulations🤔Hopefully we save our money and love reviews of making the grade about it.🙂

Wouldn't say Clooney is universally hated. A notable portion of Bat-fans think he did a decent job with what he was given, specifically as a cheesy 60's comic accurate wholesome fantasy Batman. Plus his Bruce Wayne wasn't bad at all overall. Not as loved as Kilmer sure, but certainly not universally hated. There's actually some love out there for Batman & Robin 👍🏻 I HOPE we get McFarlane figures from Forever and B&R. Would be a dream come true. At least Batman so we can have a consistent history of cinematic Batman! Good review! Your footage is high quality, I appreciate that.

Seems the general consensus was that his Bruce Wayne was good. But his Batman wasn't good. In some ways, his Batman was pretty close to Adam West's Batman. But I felt Adam West did it better. Plus, they were still trying to make Batman seem dark and brooding in Batman and Robin. It unfortunately didn't work. George Clooney did show he could be an action hero with From Dusk till Dawn. If the overall direction was better, George Clooney might have actually been a great Batman.

The thing that irks me is the torso. From the first time I saw that, it’s always looked so bad to me. The problem is it’s width. He’s too wide! His arms would look way better with their size if his chest and stomach were less wide. I swear, Bale wasn’t that wide, right? He was actually kinda slim for Bats… That just messes up the whole thing for me.

I got mines on Tuesday. And I gotta say the figure was a lot better than I thought it was gonna be, the figure to me didn’t look that great in the promotional pictures, but it looks a lot better in hand. The cape didn’t bug me as much, and I see where your coming from with the arms being skinny, but that didn’t really bug me. I personally would give it 8/10. Great review nonetheless.

No matter how much I like any of these characters and versions of them , I just can't bring myself to get them all for a Baf that is essentially just another standard figure . I def am going to get the Joker but Not any of the others . I def like that you get 3 batarangs w/ the Bale version . I'd just use them for Chest mods or something for others . I also am hoping for a good wave from anything Burton did especially if we get the Keaton Uniform and others from Returns . great Video David!

i think the overall figures are amazing, but the only one i have way too much issues is the main one, the dark knight figure, for me, the proportions are just way too noticeable, the torso is a bit too bulky for the arms and legs, the shoulders look a bit too small, over all, i wish they would've taken more time to make a more well made the dark knight figure

I love Bale's Batman so much he is my favorite Batman and I love this figure but the only thing for me that makes me rethink about buying it is that it's not "fully" black since it has a LOT of grey on the suit as supposed to being fully black like in the movie. The points you mentoned in the video are valid but for me not that crucial. What do you think about it not being fully black...

You can’t extend your figures arms because your butterfly joints are off, if you pop off the joint at the arm you’ll see you the bicep joint will give but not break and you can cycle the butterfly joint correctly so you get full movement

Mcfarlane has some great strengths. Proportions are not one of them, especially upper vs lower body, whether it is legs far too long for the height of the upper body or one half just being to big or small for the other. Either way, they often look like good kitbashes, rather than parts deliberately designed to go together.

Honestly I think the proportions are fine, looking at reference images of bale Batman man his arms do look thin compared to his thick thighs. I kinda feel like the head might be slightly too small. Though I feel like that’s generally an action figure thing. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think your problem with the proportion is the head height/size in proportion with the shoulder width. Not that it’s inaccurate, just that they tried for more human proportions. I think it takes away from the size of the upper body, and could be fixed by making the deltoids bigger or wider

Pose him with legs slightly bent, slightly crouching, Then (Figure facing you) Turn the torso to the right, Now posed like that, Place him standing slightly sideways (as apposed to facing forward) and the odd proportions become Much less noticeable (I wish I could just show you) But it is possible to make him look better by having the legs facing one direction, and the upper torso facing another, Give it a try, and maybe you'll see what I'm suggesting. I wish the arms were thicker, but I am still grateful to have a 7 inch Bale Batman on my Batman wall, aside the other 7 inch scale versions (And villains) it's a better sculpt than some others I've seen. Bale is THEE BEST BATMAN PERIOD !!! Also getting a wider wired cape with help a lot, as the space between his arms and torso will now be all black and thus also less noticeable, Go see any review of him with a wired cloth cape and the thin arms do not stand out at all (I refused to give up on finding a way to pose it and make it look as good as I could) and yeah the rubber shoulders go over top of the cape, I understand this is unfortunately not prefect, But I still love it !!! (Hope they make a Batman Begins figure too)

After seeing the McFarlane Toys figure…I’m kind of glad I went with the imported Tamashii Nations figure years ago. (Seriously, look up either the SHFiguarts Dark Knight Batman or the MAFEX Dark Knight Batman v3.0) But if I had to choose between the two shown… you could do worse than McFarlane Toys. Cape aside, it’s sculpted well.

I’m just flat out say that mine had an similar issue with the bicep articulation. Mine didn’t have biceps that popped off but infact are GLUED IN PLACE, so much so I pried it with a tiny screwdriver unfortunately

The sclupting, the likeness, the detail of this Mcfarlane are awesome! it's almost look like the one from Mafex TDK 3.0 but the Mafex one is much expensive. So not bad for cheaper figure having that great of likeness and detail. Unfortunetaly the articulations is quite bad. But it doesn't really that matter for me. And for the paint job, it's understandable that it's not that good due to the cheap price. But I love costumized figures from Mcfarlane, because the sclupting are so good, so I love repainting them.

This is still a $20 figure(Not counting the BAF piece part which makes it $25) so I think people are expecting too much from it. For me that cowl and headsculpt look perfect and for the pricepoint he is unmatched.

One of the issues making it look off is the hips are very wide, causing a very large thigh gap, which is causing him to look bow legged and somewhat hour-glass figured.

In regards to the arms being skinny, that’s nothing electrical tape can’t fix, lol. The other issue with the arms though, I don’t really know what to tell you. They rushed the figure and that’s why it looks like that 😂. I don’t mind it though, I’d still play with the figure. And I’m frickin 24!!

I think you're being just a tad bit too brutal when giving this fig a 6/10. Compared to most Batman figs McFarlane puts out, this one stands out purely just from pure accuracy to what character this based on. I mean there's no painting issues, proportions and sculpt is solid throughout, and more accessories than what we're used to getting for McFarlane standards. I'd give him an 8 or a 9 out of 10 EASILY!
