Mate I wanna say thank you...I'm not a dentist or a doctor and rarely a consumer...I love making things and over time I became a producer of many things which I cld make and prob never afford! (stone masonry, landscaping, carpentry, jewelry, furniture, concrete pools, tiling and more) I have never been to study. My approach was always to find someone good at doing something and basically harass them until they wld agree to employ and teach me! I cannot believe that U only have 8.5k subscribers because when it comes to club mechanics, that person is YOU!!! No other chanel I've found comes close! You're content, thoroughness and persona are spot on and I'm so grateful that you have taken the time to go through all this. LEGEND! Happy New Year 👍😊❤️

Those heads look sweet. My golfing resolution was to score in the 70's, using Persimmon woods and vintage blades ( Powerbilt persimmon Citation woods, Ben Hogan Apex II irons , Louisville White Ash Mallett putter ) unfortunately i did it in my 3rd game of the year .

Happy New Year Jim and Congratulations to you and your Good Lady on your Anniversary. Thank you for your vids this year, though I will never build clubs myself I find it fascinating to see the build process. My Goals are simple, to continue with my Cardiac rehab so that I can play golf as often as I want and to count my Blessings every day!

CP2 Pro man myself. I love those grips. The blue wrap ones not so much. For a resolution I want to gain weight ... switching out the 106 gram shafts in my irons for something heavier. All the best in 2020. I really enjoy your videos.

Happy New Year and Happy Anniversary. Those irons have a very elegant look. My resolutions are to improve my short game especially pitching and chipping and to shoot under par more than once in my weekly golf league. And of course lose weight and get in better shape. Thanks for all the videos this year. Looking forward to 2020.

My resolution is to finish the process and have Jim build me a new driver. Question: to get to that playing level Jim you will need to play as much as you can. That brings the player into a stage of expectation. My question is what changes will you make to your bag and it's setup to achieve your resolution? Thanks for everything and have a wonderful anniversary and new year.

How does the weight of the grip effect ball flight? Not a lot of information out there about the effects of backweighting. I have also heard the term used in Driver shafts, that the shaft is a back weighted shaft. Obviously, changing the balance point has an effect, but it's all gray to me. Do you have any information on this subject or a link to some data? Thanks.

How do you sort shafts by weight? Heaviest shafts go in the higher loft irons?

I know this is an old video... I am getting into club building this winter.... because I cannot golf.. I am 42 and still playing with the kids from the blue tees... but to win the local tournament at my home course before I turn 50 and move up a tee is my goal...

Hey McGolf, brand new sub here. Was wondering if it is possible to put a Ferrell on irons that are no-Ferrell type (Ping, Lady Tour2)? Forgive me if you have covered this previously . Thanks for the content, just wish I'd have found you sooner!
@McGolf2 жыл бұрын
in the day they actually made a ferrule specifically for that. Now you have to cone the bottom of the ferrule to make it fit. it can be down just takes time.

Seriously considering buying a set of New Level iron heads and doing a build of my own. New Level I understand has .370 hosel and I feel more comfortable building with a .355 shaft. What tips do you have for putting a .355 shaft in a .370 hosel?
@McGolf5 жыл бұрын
Mark The Golf Addict getting heads mean becoming a dealer. If you do then use a shim to make up the room of a smaller shaft tip

I was just watching one of your fitting videos and I figured I would come here and ask a question. I’m 5”9-5”10 , and brought standard women’s clubs , do you think they’ll work out or do I need men’s ?
@McGolf5 жыл бұрын
Syd there is so much more than just length involved. At your height and let’s say you stand at an A typical stance then the length may be good however if you are stronger the weight flex grip etc all could be off causing issues. Find a certified fitter for all the spec you need

With long putters no longer available on the market how does one get fitted for one or even see if this is a viable option for one. I’ve seen more and more touring pro’s going back to these style putters.
@McGolf5 жыл бұрын
Peter Crocitto you probably won’t see too much in the way of a tall putter just based on popularity however, elbow locking style putter is taking its place

Are not these just another JDM product with very flat lies design for short Japanese people? Yes, I know they can be bent but why not just start with a club designed for the taller average American golfer?
