Oscar scalped the F1 media's 2 golden boys back to back,
@audreyhempburn8149Ай бұрын
Zak knew singing a back to back FR, F3, F2 champ will only make Lando better. 'Get us the constructors but may the best racer win' is what i'm getting from Zak and Andrea that they probably can't plainly say due to the popularity of the Lando support from the dominant british media

It's not risky it's called motor racing.

need a Lando win in Singapore for him to look promising title contender. Get the deficit down in the 40’s with 6 races left
@toodsf1Ай бұрын
Agree. A Norris win when Verstappen could realistically be 7th or worse, that’s a 40 point gap or less. Could be a big swing 🤞

15:49 Stroll and Tsunoda had retired effectively because Stroll hit Tsunoda. So 2 retirements and they were from an accident.

Strolls DNF had nothing to do with the accident it was his breaks and unrelated to the accident.

Unpopular opinion - Lando's best and one and only chance to win the title is this year. Next year, McLaren should chuck all their eggs behind Piastri. And I'm not saying this as an Aussie/Kiwi who can't stand the English in sports. Ok fine I like the English.. and Lando is alright.. just think he's overrated. Piastri by contrast is the real deal
@benfulford3943Ай бұрын
I dunno if it is an unpopular opinion. Everyone seems to be rolling over themselves to talk about how amazing Piastri is after one very good result. While he is a very good driver he does still need a lot more development, especially when it comes to tyre management. It was only a couple of races ago that Lando dominated the whole field and Piastri couldn't even get on the podium with by far the fastest car. Over the whole season Norris has definitely been the better driver. I think it will be close next year but Norris still has the edge

Only 32 points behind I don't think he should yield at all
@LetoxxIantАй бұрын
His chances are zero to get the title this year Lando has maybe 10% chance and if Lando hadn't helped him this race he wouldn't have his 2nd win either. It is called being a team player and F1 is team sport at the end. McL had not have a WCD since 2008 and no WCD since 1998. Winning the WCC and WCD will also boost sponsor payments, gives McL an edge for the coming years and therefore will help Pia too when it is his turn which could already be next year and if they do not have a dominant car like RB had last year he will need Landos help next year too. Give and take.

His yet to retire this year also.

I’m an Australian and these three seem to be unbiased in my opinion. The three of them probably interesting insight on Zak Brown and Andrea Stella on managing McLaren and the two drivers.

@@michaelcobbin The Lando comment at the start? Idk, maybe its like a rash, becoming oversensitive. Ted looked like he was about to cry on Saturday, even asking both Merc drivers about tje yellow flag.
@michaelcobbinАй бұрын
@@slopat2503 I had to laugh at Ted’s approach when interviewing Lando just after he was knocked after Q1, especially with the approach Ted took with interviewing Oscar on Thursday. I was thinking “suck eggs, Ted”. You could just tell that Ted’s golden boy had stuffed up badly and Ted had to interview him. After the race, the whole Sky F1 team had just realised that Oscar was the real deal. The Sky F1 team interview with Mark Webber was interesting also because you had JV (Canadian) and Mark (Australian), both former F1 drivers, knowing full well that Oscar had made one of the biggest statement in F1 in the last 15 years. The other two statements were made by Lewis and Max.
@slopat2503Ай бұрын
@@michaelcobbin I know JV. Well not personally, but from afar. Grew up watching his dad race. French Canadian Montrealer here. Anyhow, he and Nico are the best guest commentators on Sky. Love Bernie too! Enjoy having a future WDC from your country. I like Oscar a lot and wish him the best.
@michaelcobbinАй бұрын
@@slopat2503 I view that JV, Nico, Karun and Bernie are the best commentators on Sky F1 team. All four commentators bring valuable insights and are unbiased in their views. I wasn’t happy with JV’s take on Daniel Ricciardo at the Canadian GP, but it did fire up Daniel and he has delivered better results since.

@@de1623 exactly it just has to pass the test. "spirit of the rules" is some trash (unless its safety related). these wings that are just the right amount of bendy to effectivly be auto adjusting is a crazy cool technical inovation imo.
