A good entry-level mtb......Well done The only thing that maybe a issue the pivot point on the frame........in time it might be a pain. Ignore what people who think they know about bike stuff most will say only use brand name expensive component but sometimes brand name components don't mean much. The idea is get out and enjoy the trails and have fun.

I just wanted to share my experience with anyone looking for a solid full squish on a budget. I personally ride a $2500 2019 stumpjumper. Great bike. I wanted to try to get my brother into mountain biking, so I bought him the $1000 Atroz 2 last Christmas. Diamondback blew me away when the Atroz 2 arrived. I was extremely surprised by the quality and performance they brought to the table. The Atroz 2 is 80+% the performance of my stumpy, for less then half the price. It feels great, rides great, the value is just ridiculous. It changed my perspective on what direct from manufacturer bike brands can do. You won't be disappointed with this bike, I'm telling ya. Just as a small side note, despite being their entry level full squish, they throw in an actual set of quality low profile alloy pedals, instead of that thick plastic junk - just a nice touch that my stumpy didn't even come with. Go figure. Ha. Moral of the story though, this bike is SOLID, and a crazy good value. Remember, That's coming from someone who rides a full squish that costs more then double the Atroz 2.

The atroz really is super similar to a orange cycles bikes. I’ve fully upgraded an atroz and powder coated it with custom DB stickers for my wife. Have like around $1100 after finding some amazing prices on used parts locally and it’s basically a 3k spec orange with 140mm travel all around. Running a 200x57 rear shock works great. BB is a tad high but not bad high. Still within some bikes height and works well on our old trails around here. 140mm rockshox revelation RC fork 200x57 rockshox monarch rt3 shock = 138ish mm rear travel. Sram guide r brakes Raceface turbine 150mm dropper WTB tubeless wheels with schwalbe Hans dampf rear magic marry front There is a 12mm through axel with bolts for 9mm qr rear which they say stiffens it up better than qr I put on. Does it work? Maybe but I feel like it would. Sram nx 1x11 with Sunrace 11-50t cassette and raceface NW chain ring Stock db bar and stem arnt bad. It’s actually turned out to be a super nice bike.

A nice...great looking upgraded MTB. Even if orange isn’t my favourite colour, right now. i suppose i could do, exactly the same, with my bike......as you did with, your bike. Add quality components. Although coming with a high price tag? But nothing is impossible, i guess. Well worth the experience though; fitting better quality components...to make the bike look even better than it originally was. Thursday am at 09:15H. 1st April 2021. U.K. 🇬🇧 Southampton.

7:32 of course there is an difference, but not everyone will notice the same amount of benefit. but for me it's a huge difference, but I see some copy cat brands don't get the timing right so the oval is set at wrong spot so you won't get full benefit or no too at all depending on how wrong it is. but I have a chaining from Absolute black which has great timing, and has eliminated my knee pain when riding. I was bothered by this since I started riding and wished for an oval chaining since I was a kid, now I have it. your chainring has a slight ovality, so the effect won't be as big.

The oval chainring simply maximises the length of the strongest part of the pedal stroke, with the weakest part (being at 6/12 o'clock)at the top of the oval being shortened. It is supposed to maximise power output and efficiency. I was thinking of upgrading to one, but people said they dealt weird.

Be careful, I have owned an atroz with the same frame design and the frame snapped on me right above the main pivot bearing after a 2 years. Only on XC blue trails... I never jumped that bike. But, when we contacted diamondback they sent us a new rear swing arm with an extra brace welded close to where it broke. I think this bike has the extra little brace though.

9:45 the fork should not bounce back, if it does the rebound is insanely high, basically you are riding a pogostick ,so you need to use the rebound damping adjustment. maybe you are just using wrong termologi, preloading the fork and extending arms lifting the front up and the rear right after in a a fluid action is the correct way of doing it.

The bike is solid and my Ebike conversion went great. kzbin.infoUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Very smooth ride at 30mph with no problems (135 miles ridden so far). The picture is a bit deceiving - there is WAY less space in the center of the frame than it shows. The suspension connection takes up the entire thing. So I needed to attach my battery on the bottom of the frame and my controller on the top. Instructions for assembly were lacking but honestly it wasn't too hard to figure out even though I have very little bike knowledge. Watched some youtube videos on adjusting the disk brakes but that was it. Still, I am loving it and very happy with the purchase.
