the problem with the MCU is their choice of Agenda over Adaptation. ALL of these characters have been written and fully developed in the books, but they've become so Anti-source material and Anti-fans. Imagine rewriting an A+ paper and getting an F for it. The Eternals could have AND SHOULD have launched a very successful phase of the MCU. The Eternals The Celestials The Deviants They had a chance to correct what they did to the Inhumans in Multiverse Madness and still F'd up. The damage they've done will take the next decade to fix because they still haven't learned their lesson. Now DEADPOOL is gonna save the MCU? That's not even fair. I'm just waiting for the MCU to completely tank and be bought by someone who gives a damn.

Eternal was a good movie because it was a universe builder. It it had scope. And opened up the mcu to many more possibilities. The problem is the mcu movies are all over the place, with its overall story arc a mess, because they didn't learn nothing from the first 10 yesrs of the mcu... they got drunk of Success. What made the mcu so great is that it was one big stroy. Even if you don't like a movie, your going to watch it, because you want to know the full story. They should of doubled down on having each movie link to the next, double down on the world building.

Let the MCU get back to where it needs to. James Gunns DC is about to rival the MCU and Igor knows that. Respectfully Jody, Eternals failed because it was boring. Beautifully shot, great cast, but god I watched it with 3 other people and not a single one liked it. And theres too many plotholes. The whole "we choose not to interfere in human events" is bullshit, bc then the planet gets fucked and then what? They fail their mission? And what about the celestial being half born and just sticking out of earth? Plus, none of the characters were that appealing, only ones I remotely gave a shit about were the superman ripoff and Jon Snow. Too many characters, not enough time to properly introduce them all and get us to care about them. Even you as a fan were struggling to remember the speedsters name. It was like getting the Justice League movie before getting the individual solo movies all over again. Shang Chi was most def not boring. Elements could've been better, but the action was top tier, soundtrack was dope and the villain was more memorable then the one in eternals as well. The majority of people liked Shang Chi, and the majority of people did not like eternals. Marvel wants to focus on guaranteed hits now rather than take risks, which is a very good thing. Eternals 2 wouldn't be a guaranteed hit as people shat on it, whereas Shang Chi 2 would def be a hit as a lot of people loved the first. Eternals 1 was released at a time where we'd all go watch every marvel movie no matter what just to see what was next, now that we're pushing back against the product, i can promise you a sequel wouldn't make as much as the first, as evidenced by you showing the Captain Marvel numbers. First one did great, but people hated it which led to the second under performing. Same would happen here. And you can't mention inclusion as why they're moving SC2 forward bc Eternals is all about diversity, even moreso then SC. White, Asian, Indian, Black, Ginger, Hispanic, British, etc. If they were going based of diversity and inclusion they would've been more inclined to go with eternals 2 rather than shang chi.

Let’s be honest, the MCU doesn’t have a lot of great movies. Most are mediocre. I personally didn’t like the Eternals. I dont agree with canceling the sequel though. It was Even close to as bad as ant man. Not even the same league. Shiny Chi is only happening because of the Chinese market not because of some fake woke checking of boxes. MCU is not in shambles they are just trying to pivot. Ant Man four and Captain Marvel three are said to be not on the production schedule which doesnt mean its not gonna be made I mean the first Cap movie made a billion dollars and the seconds had the strike(though spent less on advertisements) and other BTS problems yet was good and made its money back from being widely successful on stream even before Disney+. DC is in shambles yet are starting all over again and lets be honest no matter what that hit piece of Variety and anti woke grifters say MCU will be fine. We forget last year wasnt great for MCU yet worse for everybody else. Tom Cruise bombed, Flash not only bombed yet did so before the strike, but Aqua Man also lucked out it came after the strike yet thats the last movie and Scorsese and Decaprio movie bombed for the first time. Even Covid affected the Exorcist franchise, The Marvels was moved five times and they didnt do certain things originally thought, Ant Man was rushed, and it showed. Halloween changed many things it didnt want to do and Fast and the Furious and Indiana all bombed and were rushed hurting creative stuff. At least the Marvels was good and GOG 3 was amazing they just need to pivot. Captain Marvel is like Wolverine. Showed up in team movies, is a lone wolf, memory problems etc except Carol still head of the Avengers and let's not forget X Men Origins was terrible and didnt make much money as yes it cost less that Teh marvels yet not much when you have advertisement which The Marvels didnt use and dont forget Wolverine which was also bad and hardly made money. X-Men First Class trilogy made fans like Wolverine again and they tried again a Wolverine solo movie like Logan of course made the most money and was a classic. All franchises from Friday the 13th to Star Wars have to reset even though here its more political ,anti-woke, anti-Disney, Misogyny and of course the strike to change the MCU. Deadpool and Wolverine is gonna reset the MCU yet MCU is gonna clean up the mess of the X-Men movies and Deadpool overrated last sequel. Win win.
