Sir: I have completed all of your MD500 mods except for the Tail rotor motor replacement. It flies so wonderful now. No jerky motions. Thank you! Using a lighter battery will reduce all rotor speed making the helicopter quieter lighter smoother faster with less momentum. If you notice especially the tail rotor does not go instant crazy speeds abruptly. These effects using a lighter battery will extend life on the helicopter that how I see it. I hope to get one soon to further test these findings cheers to all. 🚁

Were you able to use a regular 2s on the C138? Or any other models that shares the same battery with c138?

I used bigger batteries on 450 sized helicopters and it seemed to make no difference to the handling. Even going from 2100 to 5000 was easy. It didn't fit the usual spot, it hung between the skids, but flight time was more without any disadvantages. Unexpected, but good. I was in Slovenia last week, I should have stopped to say 'hello'.

@AndrejSturm That is really cool Andrej, I've 5 or 6 new batteries of 1S 350mah from a old Eachine model, the E119. If I combine two of than, I would get 2S 700mah, just like the original one from the C138, would be great to have some spare batteries to it, cuz I just got one and you know, the C138 flight time is around 10min. And now here in Brazil we got some new crazy taxes to import, is just insane, I want to avoid buying more. Could you later do a video modding it too, I could find someone here and the city to mod it for me, cheap.

i got this same copter last week. i love it. i fly it all over my 3 acres. it flies just fine, but. when its in the air the body looks tilted to one side a little. its all together the ways its supposed to be. any idea what causes this tilt ?

All helicopters with atail rotor tilt in a stable hover. Perfectly normal.

I just cut the cage off at the bottom so it would accomodate batteries i already own. Never did like proprietry batteries. They are so much more expensive than similar size batteries. I, m flying mine on 1000mah batteries and i get a longer flight time than the original so i think the advertised 1200mah propriatry battery might be a slight stretch of their true capacity.
