Really like the restraint you showed in planting this tank, with a good balance of negative space, and not covering up the beautiful textures of the wood with loads of ferns. Can't wait to see updates in a few months time as the plants grow in!

I also adore the Endlers. A tank with them exclusively is so pretty! For tiny fish their colors knock me out. I've kept them before, but never in a tank by themselves. It really works though, and I'm looking forward to what offspring you come up with with them. The shrimp are always a favorite of mine too. Really beautiful build, as always, in my opinion. Thanks MD, for another awesome video.

This was yet another interesting, informative and entertaining video. So much so, that I forgot to drink my coffee until it was cold! Your sponsors should be pleased to know that I buy their products exclusively out of appreciation for sponsoring your channel. I really love Endler's Livebearers, I still remember the first time that I saw them in a shop, they were such impressive little fish. Fish have always fascinated me. I vividly remember seeing my first Kuhli Loach, 64 years ago, and 3000 miles away. I also remember every build that I have watched you create. It is always a pleasure!

Such cool fish! I remember when i was a young lad in Australia I found a pool in a drainage ditch that was drying up full of them (obviously illegally dumped where they bred like crazy). I collected tons and tons of them pretty much everyone i knew had an endler tank after that! After that one time I never saw any of them in the wild again (thankfully).

It seems like there was a little crab in there with the cherry shrimp as well. You can see him at 34:45 to the right of the lighter coloured snail at the top. Also you can see him crawling around on the left side at 35:00. I was wondering if he is supposed to be in there and if that can have any implications for this tank (which turned out beautiful by the way)?

I think this is one of my favorite scapes and fish/shrimp tanks. You left so much more of the wood showing and a lot more space so it's much easier to see all the fish and shrimp and enjoy all the textures. I really hope you keep it trimmed down and thinned out. It's so gorgeous as it is right now. 👍💖👍

I know it doesn't mean much to MD cuz he has access to millions of shrimp, but for the record Endlers DO predate on shrimp. I used to have a colony of neo's in my male endler tank and I watched them hoover every baby shrimp ever born. They will also pick at molting shrimp until they die then all the endlers will treat it as food.

It's a beautiful planted tank, and I love the aqua scape. Only one thing I definetily wouldn't test in a tank of my own. The Aqua Essential is possibly ok in a no filter tank... but using it with a filter really destroy much of the bacteria flora you want. You want the nitrification cycle bacteria in a no filter tank too, so I personally only ever use water treatment that take care of chlorid and heavy metal, not bacteria food. Should I really need to reduce ammonia, nirate or nitrite, I do a water change, which let the bacteria catch up rather than being starved to death.

you can use your quick start with no fish IF and only iff you put food in the aquarium, food will decompose over time and produce what's needed for your bacterias. Not Ideal but if you're locked in a situation waiting for fishes to arrive or something...it work.
