👇👇MD MERCH CLICK HERE👇👇: FULL SHOP: md-fish-tanks.creator-spring.com In this video we build a planted Lake Tanganyika tank. I lot more challenging than usual as you have to accommodate the fish first, and then the aquascape. We have shell dwelling fish (Neolamprologus multifasciatus), open water swimmers (Sardine Cichlids) and rock dwellers (Fairy Cichlids). This is one of those tanks that is going to need a good growing in. Within a month is should be looking so good and I'm certain there will be lots of breeding. The tank is looking great! The Shellies have shifted the sand all over the place already and are arguing over who's lives where. This tank is going to mature really well!!!
@peterallangreen27142 жыл бұрын
This tank will not mature well. The brichardi are going to kill a thousand dollars worth of cyprichromis. Do your research. Brichardi are absolutely vicious tyrants and mature much faster than cyprichromis. The clock is ticking.
@T0tenkampf2 жыл бұрын
This is exactly what I want to do with my 180 gallon Matt. With a sand bed space of 6 feet x 2 feet (180cm x 60cm) deep do you think I could get two different species of shellies going if I had a central rock sight barrier and two shell "pits"? Was thinking Lamprologus meleagris with Neo. Similis along with a couple of groups of either Julis, Neo. gracilis, or Neo. leleupi in the three island rock structures.

I do like this tank, a lot! I know it's not MD's usual style, but it works great for the fish housed there. If I ever get another tank, I would like to do one in this style, with these exact same kind of fish. I've never kept these kind of fish, but I love them! Excited to see how it progresses in the future! How each species 'takes' to it's own created spaces, and all. Thanks MD and Matt! Nicely done! Oh, and I like the blue background!

MD, my opinion here, although I enjoy these videos at the shop, I really really really miss the usual content, at your studio, with your tanks, your fish, your scapes. Seriously, I miss Timmy, I miss the bettas, I miss the frequently trimming and care of your creations. I guess this new content is working for you, I can read in the comments people are happy like it is, but when a really liked, enjoyed and learned from your experience was in the past. Can we at least please take a look at Timmy? When will he need a new home?

REALLY lovely! I quite like the blue background. In a way, this is a little bit of a lighthearted tank, I think. With pale, colorful fish (lavendar, silver, pink-y, blue, etc.) and fairy cichlids look rather ethereal and have pretty blue eyes. So the blue background coordinates with the colors of the fish nicely. Bright and lighthearted. What's not to love??

MD, you always provide a fun video...this one was special. I love the fully planted tanks, which are great for the fish but irritate those who want to see all fish at once. In my experience those multis will breed like mad and you'll soon have to thin them out. That's not easy because they'll all vanish in the shells long before you can get the net near them. I used to give away the shells including the fish inside in exchange for empty shells. But they are the most brilliant fish, love them!

Hi guys. Love the content. I have kept and bred Brichardii colonies for several years and watching how the group developes its hirachy is fascinating. You have the alpha male and his favoured mate. The other females will act as nurses to the fry. Most males will be killed by the alpha. The ones not killed will become guards and aquascapers. I found the best setup for them was some large rocks direct to the base with crushes coral sand to help hard ph. All plants were destroyed. My advice here is remove the Brichardii to their own tank before they pair up and be amazed at thier social behaviour.
