Those 3 buzzers during the 3 attempted sheepshead tosses were hilarious. 🤣

Used to fish around Surfside/County Beach/Boilers/SLP all the time, until family and life obligations took over. Haven't been down there in several years. Your video brings back a lot of memories and you've gained a subscriber.

Thank you for fishing the Freeport jetties! I really appreciate it because I am trying to learn. Your channel is a great opportunity for that. I have put together the slip cork system you use, as well as ordered spoons, splinters etc. Your kayak videos at the jetties are great as well! THX

Hello Mark, Looks like tuff times on the Jetties (for now). When conditions are like that sometimes it feels more like work than leisure. I saw the snag section and I learned a trick to breaking braid and heavy mono when your on a snag. Open your bail and start turning in circles wrapping the line around your body 4-5 times then walk backwards until line breaks. It sure beats pulling on the braid with your hands and cutting your fingers or snapping your pole in half. (may be a good short instruction segment for you) Or you can wrap the line around the body of your reel a few times, point your rod at the snag and walk backwards. It 's amazing how many people don't know to do this and break their fishing rods in half. Especially two piece rods can snap at the joint when using heavy line. Thank you for producing these videos in areas where local bank fisherman can gain access.

Thanks, I usually wrap the braid around the leg of my reel.

An option is to use a single round battery power pack like a 5kaH that'd last almost all day. Tight lines!

definitely fun day when you get to fish with Cristian too. thanks for sharing. That jetty had some rollers almost ruin your day... Mark, what is the effect if any on so much rain on the bite in the skinny water? As a rule do you wait a day or so before going out after heavy rain/ We are getting 3+ inches of rain this weekend here in Narragansett, and I am wondering what will happen to the stripers?

I've had great fishing experiences in the rain. Under the right conditions, I'll gladly fish in the rain.

Man, I moved my knee when that sheepshead started flopping around. Probably just the camera angle but it looked close to you. If you've ever been stuck by one you know what I mean. BTW I use a #6 Gamakatsu treble hook to get sheepshead. Just give them a 5 count to swallow the bait and you'll connect most of the time.

It's a beautiful thing to be able to catch a fish, which is meant to be eaten. What is not a beautiful thing is seeing people catch fish and not know how to take care of that fish before they throw it back to their environment. If you're going to fish just to show off, Please learn how to handle that fish, if you're planning on throwing it back. Err Just my opinion, I don't think it's the fish's fault I think you need to learn how to handle and control the health and well-being of the fish if you plan on fishing.
