My friend did the therapy & wants to gift a session to me because it helped her greatly. I know with my background that it might help me get past things I can't begin to deal with on my own, but I'm terrified of it having an adverse effect. I love this channel for the subjects it covers.

I've used it in many different scenarios but to me MDMA is both tailor made and the best experience during a rave, dancing. Be it drum n bass, 4 to the floor house of whichever variety, breaks or trance or whatever your rhythm of choice may be. That was, to me, along w/ hip hop golden era & grunge/alt. rock the true counter culture scene of the 90s generational parallel equivalent to the psychedelic hippy movement of the 60s, but better imho, with greater potential. Great as the bands and musicians, Hendrix, Beatles, Dylan, Morrison, Pink Floyd and so forth were & how much I love their music- nothing touches a good rave. Not even close. But of course those don't exist anymore far as I'm aware, not at that level. There's a reason raves / parties were outlawed. 60s were Mickey Mouse with a 3 piece suit operation compared to underground rave scene. Still sounds just as fresh today if you know where to listen, more than ever in some ways & still light years ahead of it's time. The DJs, production, are no longer innovative like they were imo.

Where is this generation's music and culture they can call their own?? That is a *vastly* underrepresented symptom, even *cause*! of the problems the world faces right now. jmo

Sam's description of his first MDMA trip is the best trip report I've ever read. It's in the first chapter of his book Waking Up.

@@MrCBTman I’ve never read that book but his brief description of it here wasn’t relatable like Coleman’s was - but describing dmt experiences is like describing color to the blind... - Nearly impossible, and everyone is different .

@@cj-nyc2057 You should definitely read it! If he'd never had that MDMA trip, we may never have heard of him. You should also check out his interview with Roland Griffiths. At the end of the podcast, he talks about his recent "heroic dose" psilocybin trip.

contrary to what sam said mdma does certainly distort perception . Although academically speaking he is correct about mdma in that regard , when you do a lot of mdma you become severely impaired and definitely wont remember much of the details once its over ..

And you will also likely have a horrible comedown. MDMA is supposedly a full-blown psychedelic at higher doses. But it probably isn’t worth it. And it’s also very dangerous.

Either you don’t have pure MDMA or you’re doing too much. At the proper dose the comedown is negligible and I’ve felt worse from over consumption of coffee. i Was able to have amazingly healing and beneficial insights related to my past traumas. Even long AFTER the effects off the drug wore off, to this day i have taken those insights and used them in my daily life to live better. This is an amazing substance if used RESPONSIBLY

@@biggerstaff25 proper dose ? Yes , As I said I was doing too much. I had mdma in the early 90’s and it was a limitless supply. Even today with pure mdma (while in Medellin) - I’m somewhat immune to it and don’t really get impaired with moderate dosing.
