Glock 19M - The Truth About It

The ‪@GlockIncSmyrna‬ 19M was commissioned by the FBI in 2016 and became the new pistol for FBI agents. Later, it was adopted by some law enforcement departments and select military units. Some videos have stated that ‪@GlockIncSmyrna‬ has been very closed regarding information about the 17 and 19M pistols. Others have stated that it is not the FBI gun if it doesn't have a certain kind of sights or a certain marking on the slide. So what IS the Truth about the "M" line of pistols??? Well, I called ‪@GlockIncSmyrna‬ to find out. This is what they told me...
KZbin: This pistol is 100% factory stock and has not been altered or enhanced in any way. This video was filmed in a safe environment and without any ammunition present. Ridiculous that we even have to state this.

You are correct. The FBI contract guns came with extended slide stop levers on both sides.

The fbi wrote their requirements specifically for the sig p320.....the gun they wanted. Glock came in and sold cheap to get the contract....sig turned around and did the same to Glock in the military pistol trials.........

False. Glock did NOT go on the “cheap” with the FBI. Where did you get that information from because it’s false. Also, the P320 was sold to the military for $216 each. Also, the Glock didn’t fire when struck in the rear of the slide with a rubber mallet, unlike the p320 did. Fail on Sig.

I was not disparaging Glock I love Glock the company under cut sigs bid to win the contract which is what sig did to Glock to win the military contract..... when the fbi wrote their requirements for the new pistol only the p320 met the requirements. The fbi had sig before they had Glock. Glock answered the request with a submission at a cheaper price to keep the contract....just like they have done with the vast majority of law enforcement in the US. I did not say Glock was cheap. I just didn’t want to type so much

DHS put out new Glock 47 & 19, 26X series 9mm sidearms. The US Secret Service 🕶, ICE. The 26X 9mm was for under cover or covert/ccw uses. It had a MOS plate, light rail. DEA asked Glock for a few 26Xs too. Glock 47s were gaining support too. Late 2010s.

I have one of the earlier versions of this gun. Where yours has the 9X 19 with the 3-D and the 5, mine has the M instead of a number five. Plus mine was made in Austria. I found mine in a pawn shop believe it or not. It’s a wonderful firearm. Shoots well and smooth as butter. Probably one of my favorite Glocks I’ve ever owned. And given what it is, it is a Glock I will not be getting rid of. As you say in your video, these 19M Glocks are not the standard run-of-the-mill. I paid $740 for this gun. And I think it was money well spent.

Glock 17Ms Glock 19Ms offer a lot but the newer 2024 era Glock 47s 49s 9mm are worth a look. Glock wants to appeal to mil, LE 🚔 buyers. Nothing wrong with that.

I recently purchased a 19M and did a little research. It’s a Lipsey’s Red Label Model # UM1950333. I believe these are the most recent(late 2020) model 19M’s available with or without the internal nDLC coated internals, U or square notch Ameriglows, and 5 or M marked barrels. A mixture like you explained on the video. It seems the Model # PM195F30A and PM175F707 were the original batch of FBI 19Ms that had the consistent features...nDLC internals, U notch Ameriglows, USA slide, and M marked barrels. These seem to be the most sought after 19Ms. Can’t find those around anymore. It makes sense how you found out there’s variances depending on the time frame the 19M was made and where(USA/Austria). The only things that are consistent with all 19M’s regardless of Model # are the 19M stamped on the slide and the Rounded FBI Mag Catch. I haven’t received my 19M but I hope it at least has the internal nDLC parts. I’m glad you clarified regardless of the minor differences that a Glock 19M is a 19M.

My 19X Austria has the rounded mag release button, black trigger bar, night sights," 3D " on the barrel. Doesn't have extended slide stop. Best of all it has the G17 taller grip and it's peanut butter brown (Coyote). It's a good thing

I think the DoJ/FBI-DEA dodged a "bullet" pun intended 😉 by going to new 17M 19M 26X series 9mm over the SIG 320s. 70+ court cases, lawsuits are NOT good! 🙁 I own a few Glocks. Used & new: gen 5s. Am I good with the firearms? Yes. Many hate Glocks & the company no matter what they do. RIP 🇦🇹 Gaston Glock.

Great video and very informative. Pretty cool 19 but i wonder why the FBI would ask only for slide beveling and not ask to have the frame beveled too. They fixed this in the current Gen 5 version, the one with front slide serrations. I don't know but the front of the 19M looks off to me with slide beveling only and i would imagine that could cause snagging since its not aligned with the frame. I guess it wasn't an issue since they didn't ask Glock to change it in later revisions. Anyways, very cool to see one. I subbed and dropped a like 👍

Yeah you have some good information about the 19M they also made the 17M. But both USA and Austria were FBI contract guns the early production ones were USA than Austria. I also talked to Glock I have 3 all Blue label law enforcement guns. One does have actual NDLC internals and it’s a USA gun with the extended slide stop. One is 19M with Factory Glock night sights was contract overrun for the Military. Than I have one rare bird a 17M with NYPD2 8.5 lb trigger. It’s pretty cool. I think the 19/17M series are the best Glock’s ever made. FBI does too, the tested 4 Glock’s 2 19/17M 40,000 rounds ten thousand in each guns no cleaning and 0 malfunctions , enough said. It was featured in Swat magazine and they all agreed with FBI.

To my limited knowledge; new cadet officers; NYPD get gen 5 Glock 19 MOS series 9mm guns. 3/4 factory 15rd 9mm mags, case. I don't think the larger 34 MOS is allowed but I think the 26 gen 5 9mm is on the plain clothes, off duty approved list. 📋

Great video, just the facts. The way I like it. Did Glock give you any information on the serial numbers. I just purchased a 19m that has all of the earmarks of the FBI production. The initials prior to the number is AFGS. Could be Government Services? Do you have any info?

As I continue to look at this video you were speaking of the marking on the barrel. After the 3d marking there is an M. ? I then watched a video speaking to the different colored stickers on the case. Mine is blue that apparently denotes Law Enforcement or military. One thing that I don't see on your examples is the cutout on the front of the grip to assist in ripping the Mag out when clearing malfunctions. Yes Tim, that cut out was requested in the government contract. It eventually made it onto the first version of the civilian generation five Glocks. I don’t know how popular it was within the law enforcement community, but it was very unpopular in the civilian market so it eventually went away on the latest versions of the generation five.

Great video, I love my 19 MOS, and I have learned a bit of great information. BUT I'm so tired of hearing KZbinrs say that most viewers are not subscribers, It's like being yelled at for stumbling upon your video, KZbin is beating you guys up with this info so you try harder. It does not help our recommendation list one bit to be subscribed to someone, they show you who they want you to see anyway, and in alot of cases mostly with guns or anything they don't want you to see they won't allow notifications anyway, THAT is why people are not subscribing anymore, sorry for the rant (more towards KZbin then you) and like I said great video!

The only interaction that we can have is by either clicking the like or dislike buttons and comments. In theory, subscribing should notify the subscribers of new content being uploaded thus giving the viewer the opportunity to click like or dislike buttons and generate further interaction. Again in theory, the subscriber count itself only “guarantees“ there a certain population that has chosen to be notified when you upload videos is notified of your new content And again providing the opportunity for interaction. Just got a commercial version, used, haven’t called to see when it was made. Austrian slide, US frame, ameriglo agent sights, non coated internals, barrel only marked 9x19 3D then the Glock logo AT. All numbers match. Shoots well, though I’ve never been a huge 19 fan. Love my 19x and 30s though.

It appears you have to Law Enforcement version . The Fi had the NDLC coating in their contract so it had to be done on the FBI pistols.

I have a 17M exactly like your 19M. USA, squared rear sight, bump on slide stop etc. One thing I am curious about is the label. I am ex LEO and get blue labels. My 17M came with the red label. Wondering about your label and others. Constantly on the lookout for a 19M. I do have a Gen 5 19 but still want the 19 M.

I just got a 19M a couple days ago. Mines Austria, has agent sights and the dlc coating on the trigger bar. Go figure. I think these pistols got put together as they could due to parts available. It’s quite possible they used all the nDLC trigger bars and didn’t make more after the contract was fulfilled. No telling but I agree I don’t think any one over the other is the “fbi” issued Glock unless you were in fact an FBI agent. Good video I honestly didn’t know the trigger bar was nDLC coated until I watched. Also these agent sights are pretty nice although I haven’t shot them yet so that opinion may change.

Congrats! I've always liked Glocks but just had crappy pistols for the last 4 years before this year.. plus the Glocks grow on you even more after owning one, at least imo. I got the G19x as my 3rd Glock this year. I love how Glocks look and how well they function. The 19x in particular is super controllable when rapid firing

@@jackmemphis777 I agree. I never had guns before 2016. I had to move and get rid of a log of stuff and all I requested in return was a 9mm. It happened to be a Gen 3 glock. I began learning about Glock and now it really like them. The 19X is imo the best Glock, but these newer Gen 5 Glocks look really cool. I don’t know a lot about guns/pistols, but glock is hella easy to use and very reliable 👍

@@stevekennyufc I had .22 rifles and shotguns since I was a kid an early adult. I had shot AR15s a couple times in Civil Air Patrol as a kid too. In 2017-2018 tho I started buying pistols and semi-auto rifles and got hooked. I didn't shoot much in 2020 but 2021, i shot over 10k rounds 😁. It can get addicting and expensive but it's just too much fun. Plus I got into deer hunting in 2021 for the first time. Hunting locally is pretty inexpensive ime. Just like any really exciting activities tho, gotta pay to play

Wishful thinking but a Glock straight from the factory that I would purchase more than one of would be a Glock 45M with the RTF Style Frame colored in Gray with a ported slide and barrel in Black that's been milled for an RMR and also has the Fish Gill Rear slide serrations. That would be awesome for me.

I did a good amount of research before purchasing, but called Glock after to verify details, but wasn’t able to get a hold of anyone. Mine has similar markings to yours except the barrel just has an M after the 3D MARKING. I love items like this that have their own special little story, and I really like the configuration. Hello Ethan. In the video describe why some have Austrian and others have US marks. They are both exactly the same, made with the same machines. I was told by Glock that in order to fulfill the FBI contract in a timely manner, they had to produce them on both sides of the pond at the same time. I can’t tell the difference between the two. I have a 19m mos and it doesn’t have any different features than a regular 19 gen 5. Regular sights, regular slide release, regular trigger bar, regular mag release, regular 5.5 lbs trigger and it has front serrations. But it has a 19m roll mark on the slide. It is a USA model.

This has me really curious. I just put a 19M on layaway and was unaware of this information. The previous owner put truglo fiber optics on it. It has flat slide release. I have not field stripped the firearm to check for NDLC coatings. Maybe I should go back to the shop and look closer.

It is not that I didn’t want to show the inside. Also it’s not because it’s difficult to disassemble as we know. It’s because KZbin continues to change their “policies“ and at this moment it seems to be that showing the disassembly and reassembly of a firearm on camera could be interpreted by KZbin as a violation of their policies. I’m trying to get this clarified, but their policies are so vague that KZbin can interpret them in anyway they want to And it could lead to channel strikes or even having your channel delete it. I’m working on it though. Thank you for watching!

Not everyone hates the factory plastic sights. I like them and have friends who like them. I usually change them out for night sights. I like the 19 M including the sights and the extended slide catch.

Yes. The FBI contract 19Ms have the coated internals. The ones distributed by Lipsey’s do not. Some people have found the actual FBI contract guns out in the wild, but that is like finding a unicorn.

I finally found a 19M at a decent price and picked it up yesterday. Took it to the range and found out it shot extremely low. So I made a call to Glock and explained my problem. They sent me a shipping label and I sent it off. Hopefully I will have back with new sights within a week !

I have a 17m that does the same thing. At 7 yards it shoots like 5 or 6 inches low. I put a stock front aight on it and now it shoots fine, maybe an inch high now. It seems that the front sight is really high compared to the rear sight. The rear sight seems to measure out the same as a stock sight. But the front sight almost seems to be suppressor height. I have my local gun shop dealing with it now.

@@paladin556 I sent mine to Glock and about two weeks later I got my back with new sights. They replaced the old ones and sighted it in with 124 grain Winchester at 15 yards and sent me the target. They also replaced a few internal parts. The gun shoots point of at 25 yards !

I also received a target that stated " fired at 15 yards with 124 grain Winchester FMJ " with the armorers name. The pistol is good out to 25 yards with about a two in group ! Great work Glock warranty !

Those are ameriglo operator sights theyre the same as the agents just a different notch in the rear the ameriglo bold are the same as the operator but have white rings around the tritium in the rear sight

if you have large hands it takes a bite out of your little finger when shooting it because there is a gap between the magazine and the frame. However, there is no reason ti should have been made this way.
