This is an excellent kit for modelers that want a base to build on. It is the unassembled parts of a older 'Merit' built scale model. That is why it has a low part count and construction design using screws. I am currently adding stressed skin effects, surface detail and wheel well modifications to my kit parts. Lots of other mods to follow that will be enjoyable/rewarding to do. The model will be posed in flight on a multi position custom metal stand I designed/fabricated with a variable speed electric motor spinning the prop (the kit has it orientated backwards but it is a easy fix to correct) powered by a adjustable 3-12 volt adapter. For what I wish to accomplish, this kit is the best choice. I have built, 1/32 Tamiya (13) with lots of add on enhancements that end up hidden or hard to see To have that amount of parts/detail for this subject in 1/18 I would guess a retail of $400.00 + USD Building more 1/24 and 1/16 for 2023 that tend to need further enhancements due to the increase in scale.

I bought my A8 version last year.....an absolute snip at £65! Reading round the subject, it’s suggested that you don’t screw the fuselage together. The fuselage goes together nicely and without issues and screwing it together could warp the shape, if overtightened? There’s a lovely build review on Britmodeller on the A8.....nice references re 1/24 cockpit instrument panel upgrades (fit like a glove), it’s well worth checking out! This is not a perfect “model” but this is the artists model.....the decorators kit,....the thing you put on your sideboard....just to make the modellers start salivating....🤪

The thing with 1 /18 scale models is they are designed to be displayed with the likes of 3 3/4 inch GI joe /Star Wars action figures.

Where are the swastikas for the tail, without which this would not be an accurate model?

Shown at 10:20 in the video. The artwork is missing it though.

Why
@roopeankka37073 жыл бұрын
Is it hard to build
@mpearce8203 жыл бұрын
@@roopeankka3707 Problem I had was part F19 (11:41) was too wide so the two fuselage halves wouldn't come together.... so I sent it back not wanting to butcher the piece to make things fit.

That engine is crap from the size it lookes like a 1970s Revell kit why amd for 189 us Jesus why didn't they try when so many previous kits all of dragons armor or accurate miniatures was doing it in the 90s really

For that scale the level of detail is awful! Very spartan!
