when it happened to me i was under the influence of weed. i was 16 and the guy wouldn’t take no for an answer. i was so scared but i was sadly more scared of how angry my mom would react about the fact that i had done a drug so i never told her until i became an adult. parents i beg you to ensure your children trust you and know even if they were doing something they shouldn’t that you’ll be there for them in dangerous situations. i wasn’t able to call for help because i truly believed the anger from my mom would have been worse than what happened to me. nowadays we have a much healthier relationship and i now know my mom would absolutely have saved me but at the time my mom had broken my trust in several occasions to the point where i didn’t feel safe confiding in her or even really talking to her about my life at all.

I had a co-worker who went through something similar, worse, it was at a KID'S birthday party! That's just sick! I wasn't there but hearing about it was horrifying to say the least. To make matters worse, my co-worker ended up pregnant and had to give the baby up for adoption, and all the while, she kept up a brave front, which was commendable, but I could tell it was taking a toll. I haven't seen her since the birth and hope all is well, plus I hope the kid never finds out how he was born.

@joanneaugust14892 ай бұрын
Sadly it's most often someone you trust and know well. Usually someone you thought incapable of something like this. I don't have personal experience, it's just statistics. The entire "stranger danger" mentality opens up people to abuse from relatives and friends. No question; you need to be careful around strangers. But statistically, it's safer to be staying a night at a stranger's house than your own uncle's. This isn't supposed to mean you shouldn't trust anyone or always expect the worst. It just means you should be careful even around family and friends, and trust your guts when it comes to your own and your children's safety.

This does a great job of showing the trauma of such an experience. Natalie said she should tell her daughter what happened. So many years later, thinking about it still freaks her out. She was afraid to talk about it. It's kinda like what Zemo said to Bucky in Civil War: "You fear that if you open your mouth, the horrors might never stop."

People wonder why I watched my children so hard. This has happened to me a few times sadly throughout my childhood. I haven't made any videos on my channel about it. Something tells me I may soon. I was like her mother. I didn't report out of fear that no one would believe me. I tried to tell my mom about the first time and she didn't believe me. So I stopped telling to tell. Sometimes I think back and pray they were all caught. That someone else was brave enough to keep pushing and telling whoever would listen. I just hope they were caught or they stopped hurting young girls. :(

I was just a kid (even before my periods) when it happened. It was a group of them - boys of my age (I thought of them as my friends before that), older boys. And it wasn't just one time - it happened at least half a dozen times because they threatened to tell my parents in the light I won't like. And I didn't tell them myself because I knew they're not gonna believe me. Everything that happened to me is my fault - that's what I learnt since the earliest childhood. To make things worse, these bastards gossiped about me, spread lies and dirty slander which is why I completely stopped going for a walk, ruined my socialization - I thought everyone knew of my shame (I am from a small town) and felt nothing but disgust for me. But what's the worst is? When I told everything to my mother - when I was an adult already - she didn't believe me. And OFC no one was punished - and how would they? no proof but my words remained, - OFC I didn't tell anyone else. If my mother thought I was lying - who was gonna believe me? It was awful. It is still awful. Trust your children, please.

Anyone gonna address how...flip-floppy Manning is in this episode compared to usual? Particular when the mother tried to have the exam done without the daughter's consent? I was thinking, okay and here comes Judge Manning to condemn this poor woman's parenting because she wasn't respecting her daughter's choice, or arguing the ethics with one of her co workers or even trying to have the mother reported, but imagine my surpriae to the contrary; I get Manning most likely wanted to get the kit done too, so the mother was actual on her side and did drop that dark truth, but, really I wasn't expecting Manning to be so...calm for lack of better word

Kids need to go to parties. Just make sure they're not wild, unsupervised parties. Let there be dark corners where they can sneak off to make out (teens will be teens) but that aren't out of hearing range of responsible adults. The loud music should be limited to the open space where visual supervision can suffice, whereas the private corners should be away from the noise and within hearing range of supervisors, so that if a kid makes a loud noise, they WILL be heard.

The women in these show are always showed doing some of the most crazy things, like showing them like they know everything and there decisions are the right ones. But in reality it just creates more problems and more issues. I think that these kind of show kind of show the reaility of life a bit, were a women can do some really crazy stuff, make things up, false claims, ruin men, ruins kids do whatever they want or feel like doing and will get zero to littlte punishment. Just the reaility of the world, of how easy it has gotten for women. The amount of rights and privilages they have is insane. Most of these women play there charachters perfectly, they are so horrible and hard to stand. Just horrible, the women did a perfect job of potraying them. But the show does one issue and it is a big one, it shows women being the good ones to often, like for all the wrong they do they get very little punishment. Like the amount of times the women did bad things in these show they should of been long time fired or even in jail.
