I laughed coldly at the final shot of the text message. I thought it was a great need to the movie to reiterate the movies theme of the horrors of modern dating. The guy in the car I think is meant to represent men who see abuse and stay silent. He heard them cry out for help and instead ran to save his own skin. I love that they held off showing the title card until the film tone changed from rom com to horror movie. It is a disturbing movie with a great message and bleeds the two genres together

I absolutely loved their choice to hold off on the title card. I showed the movie to my mom and sister and they seemed disinterested until that moment. They immediately looked at me and asked what I had put on 😂

My theory is that the wife was the first victim, serial killers often have a fond attachment to their “first” and Sebs character fell in love with her before he could finish the job so they married and overtime she went from victim to accomplice to the brains because let’s face in sebbys character doesn’t have them. She saw how much money comes from the cannibalism so she runs the business portion and he runs the slaughterhouse.

this movie is especially sickening to me because the premise isn’t completely fictional, like it’s not based on a true story but the secret human meat market is a real thing as well as cookbooks about techniques and recipes with it,,,,and some restaurants in other countries have been shut down for offering human meat 😨

@@3801hael it is really scary....and, legally but sometimes a grey area because it’s totally unregulated, there’s the body trade for people who’ve donated their bodies to science, lots of them are cut up and the body parts are sold by body brokers just like this movie to military bases and research labs etc.....there’s been cases tho of shady people intercepting a bunch of bodies to unprofessionally dismember and freeze and rent out to research labs for way more money than normally- often people with cancer or hiv or something, it’s some crazy shit

This movie feels like one for the girls, gays and they and I love that energy. Also I feel like he kidnapped the wife and then she told him she was pregnant and that’s why he stopped and like wifed her up. And how Molly’s friend came to “save them” and then dipped. Also I kinda love how the guy she went on the date with in the beginning sent the “U up?” text, like yes let all of the men in the movie be unhelpful and gross 😂

I think the wife is Sammie who left the note in the magazine, but after he let her out and fell in love, she got brainwashed or suffers from Stockholm Syndrome. I don't think she is the master mind since he is the doctor that performs the procedures and prepares the "meat". However, I do think that after being with him for a while, marrying him, the wife became his partner in the business of selling the meat. She probably helps finds the victims on the dating app and finds clients.

For me the movie is about modern online dating. The danger to be too needy and not be careful. Don't think if a guy looks nice, he is every straight girl's dream. The guy can be a bad person and have more than one girl. Keep them in a prision and take pieces until they don't know who they are (Penny said that). There are guys who are professionals. And can even have a wife that is hurt (leg) but want to keep the perfect family. Noa is saved by her own corage and other female friends. Listen to your friends. And when women are united they are strong. The movie ends with a message from another person from the app, the game goes on, there is always fresh meat.
