a few days worth of work, lots of sanding and still more sanding to go. These will be wrapped to match the interior when finished.

Steve, I must say that the most impressive part of your videos is how incredibly patient and professional you are at all times during the rebuild. Kudos and looks fantastic.

a shitload of thanks to you meade,i got so many hints and tips from your clips,(oh shit,it rhymed) that ive gone and i rebuilded my entire soundsystem to my car,and probably saved a load of money by doing it myself,using pretty much the same techniques you use.maybe the outcome is not as professional as yours,but still,im enjoying the sound and the look,thanks again dude,keep up the good work

Awesome work man. I love watching videos like this because the sanding goes by in like 2 seconds instead of how long (and tedious) it takes when you are having to do it.

Hey Steve great job. i love watching all of your vids and new ones that comes out. the best one so far i loved was that german sub that you tested when you stood on it. that was insane. but again thanks for a great video, i have learned a lot from you, Mark @ Car Audio Fabrication and Exo Exo contralto. you guys have given me more to look forward to do more projects on my 85 Isuzu. there are many that i have to build from scratch and then follow your vids. Great Job Steve.

I was really impressed when watching this take shape. I'd love to try it, but I don't quite have the juevos to start hacking at my door panels, but now that I bought a little cheap 2nd work truck, I may have to try this. as soon as you showed it from the inside with the door closed, that thing looked like factory or aftermarket panels you'd pay out the ass for. very impressed, keep it up!

just using fleece is GENERIC. I would not trust my doors or anything else with just fleece. Fiberglass is a must if you want it to last.

@Bob Jones Ok i LITERALLY stopped reading after your first sentence. I told you NOT to sound foolish or silly. You apparently do not know anything about car audio. PLEASE educate yourself before ever posting here again. I will help educate you real quick. The kick panels are the BEST location in the car for your mids/highs. There, you learned something today. Placing the speakers near your "head level" is the WORST place you can put them. Sorry to tell you that.

FIY for anyone thinking of connecting their sander to their shop vac - 25 feet of sump pump hose from the plumbing section of LOWES or HOME DEPOT = $10. Fits both the vacuum intake and the orbital sander discharge port. works just as well as Shop vac hose = $40 for 10 feet.

Does it make a big difference if the door speakers are in sealed enclosures rather then just leaving the back open like you have?? Im going to make fiberglass pods for my 6.5's but theres alot of air space in the door once the panels are on. Im afraid its going to mess with performance so i mite make a back to them so the speakers are sealed up.
@Notcarver14 жыл бұрын
that is freakin awesome. im thinkin of doin a similar thing but with only 1 or 2 speakers. roughly how much was all the resin and fiberglass and stuff? also how do the tweeters stay in? i couldnt see any screws or anythin?
@ClumsyCars14 жыл бұрын
are there going to be speakers in the kick panel as well?

Yo, Steve amazing build bro and amazing car... i have a question im looking to get door speakers for my truck and im looking at rockford fosgate speakers but idk what type to get (prime, punch, or power) which type would give a good clean sound that can handle being played load... btw the speakers are ganna be 6x9s and 6 1/2s.. thanks bro
