So, I've a question here. My brother has a very good job at M.I.T and travels around the United States, sometimes to Canada, but he's been talking about wanting to move out west to either Colorado or Utah. He's been wanting a log cabin for himself, his wife, and two kids, but he wants a "very large" log cabin with nothing but an "all" log structure. He wants a 3 story, 4 bedroom 3 bath and two kitchens. A sitting area, a dining area, and 2 living areas. I've been on youtube here for a couple of days, checking things out on different log building channels and commenting this comment. Would this be something you and your crew could do?

Your brother will have to have his Log home sand blasted every 2-3 years and resealed. Log houses are beautiful but the maintenance costs are ridiculously high. When we built our house a few years ago, I did a LOT of research and we decided on Hardi-Board siding. It looks like wood shiplap but it’s concrete and it will NOT burn. We built our house into the side of our 54.5 acre property on the side of a mountain.
