Gret meals again Cheryl. I've made your recipe scotch pies and they went down a real treat, they've become part of my cycle of food. We don't have the same thing every week, maybe once a month or so but I do love making some of your recipes. Coming from the same part of the world, we have had similar meals growing up so youor recipes just hit the spot. Thank you so much for sharing xxx

For a minute at 3:20, I thought it was a big chunk of buffalo mozzarella on the pesto penne. Thought it looked like a lot. Chicken makes more sense and seems tastier 😂

Good looking meals. The pesto penne pasta and tomatoes with balsamic vinegar was my favorite. I'm happy for those having normal weather. We had a few days of seasonal weather, but it will be 90F again by Wednesday. No rain in almost a month. Have a great week!

Everything looks so homey and comforting! I’m on the northwest coast of the U.S. and our days are getting cooler and the hours of daylight seem to grow shorter by the day; the last few days have been dark and windy and rainy, and stew was very welcome here (I made mine with lamb). So much of what you cook reminds me of meals my Grandma would cook for Grandpa, especially the cod on Friday.

Hi Cheryl it’s only me from down south - I hope you’re okay and keeping well and manage to stay dry and warm - it’s very windy down here but it’s about 16° and we’ve had lots of rain today - I loved your recipe for the stovies it looked absolutely delicious and very tasty - the tea tonight I’ve got some new potatoes and a hot sausage roll - I’ve had my medication so I can settle down and watch this Vlog/video - take care and have a great week ~ sending loads of love and hugs ~ Xxx Xxx

Wednesday - Sausage, mash and beans. Thursday - McDonalds McRib meal. Friday - Fish pie and peas. Saturday - Beans and toast with grated cheese. Sunday - Roast beef, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, carrots, broccoli and gravy. Trifle for pudding.

You keep apologising for always making the same things, but I feel like I've been eating leg of lamb for the last month (thanks Sainsbury's for the 50% offer). At least I've tried a few variations on it, so not as crazy as it sounds.

Hi Cheryl! I really like chicken pieces, pan fried in some olive oil and dusted with a little nutmeg, with my pesto pasta. Frying some halved cherry tomatoes in the same oil for just a minute or two before adding the pesto and the pasta is also really good. I like to add broccoli to the pan I'm cooking my pasta in, just to add an extra (delicious) vegetable! Thanks for posting!

I have to confess, as an Englishman, the Scotch Pie is the king of pies. Always difficult to buy a decent one though. It’s sometimes worth finding an excuse to get up to Tebay Services as they do a decent Scotch Pie and Lorne Sausage.

Hi Cheryl The tradition of eating fish on a Friday potentially comes from the Catholic faith. Catholics aren’t supposed to eat meat on a Friday (in memory of Good Friday) so fish became the meal of choice on Fridays. We still practice this today. I’m unsure about other Christian denominations tho. Hope this helps. Sharon xx
