@@alex79buckland that 7.3(with a jasper trans)will reliably tow 30,000+ lbs all day, every day. At least it did for me for 11 or 12 years, before moving to a newer platform. My focus with a 2.0L turbo with 250 crank hp cant carry more than 700lbs of passenger. I guess its hard to remember diesel trucks arent built from the factory for racing/speed 🤷‍♂️

Gale Banks develops parts for consumers that really want longevity, no smoke, and efficiency. When you are drag racing and sled pulling, you don't care about smoke or efficiency, and longevity is a bonus. Two completely different sets of goals. All due respect to all companies mentioned in the video, they all have their place in the industry.

Moneys already been wasted🤣 My 2nd truck has decked out suspension fox 2.0 RR custom valved shocks/springs by thuren, flightfab beef long arms, DOR extreme 3rd gen style track bar. Red head box, better tierods , blah blah blah. I haven’t driven a 3rd or 4th gen that drove better than my dialed in setup lmfao, I love my 98-02 2nd gen leather/woodgrain interior. I own a 5.9 3rd gen woodgrain leather laramie as well, love them both, have plans for this truck too, in fact its the reason I want a commonrail in my og 2g. Im a technician at Permian Machinery Movers here in Texas, I don’t even daily a truck anymore. Jetta tdi ftw I already got the schematics and wiring pin tools, etc, a whole parts truck 06 ecm and harness etc, just need a 6.7 block. I’ll be posting on my insta and channel soon

I thought there is a truck puller called smoking addiction has a 1981 ford with a modified 7.3 with a p pump recast heads for the mechanical injection solid filled stock block and it turns out 2180 horse power and 2800 ft lbs of torque. I actually have both a cummins and a 7.3 and I enjoy watching you guys trying to crush records keep up the good work.

Great video guys. I am not a diesel guy now, grew up on diesel farm equipment. Love your take on things & how you are making power. Huge difference in power for competition sake (primarily) and street (EPA) purposes. Finally, GM still OWEs the American Taxpayer for their failure to fully pay back their bailout.

It's about time someone calls out Gale, and yes in one of his videos that durmax does smoke a lot on the start of the pull. You can see the smoke escaping from the exhaust pipe joint and then the camera angle cuts. Great videos keep them coming!

As someone that has supplied engine parts for the Scheid and Haisley trucks and have seen 2900+hp on an engine dyno from a single turbo deck plated 6.7 on fuel only I think 2000whp is an attainable goal. Keep after it Josh!

Basically this is a very well planned designed and built truck with a lot of money time and effort put into with professional diesel techs putting forth a world of knowledge into. But when you push the limits stuff can and will go wrong. We should all just admire these guys and what they accomplish with their builds. I just finished my 24v, Poverty pumped😂😂 compound turbskis. Trans slipped at 40 psi to instant 80psi before pulled up on it. Just ordered my AFC live system. Love cummins.

Compared to the older cummins commonrail engine the L5P is a drastically different in terms of fuel injection and monitoring, as you said about it being more modern. I suppose the piezo- style injectors are a major contributor to less smoke since they´re so much faster than the solenoid injectors thus allowing more injections per cycle and with less quantity more often allowing more precise control of air fuel mixture.

I will say, Gale Doesn't go for the power numbers a lot of people do, but he does it for more than just a Number on a Dyno, I mean they Don't go handing Multi million dollar Military contracts to anyone. Now to be clear, I am not Bashing or talking trash to anyone in the diesel world, Everyone has their niche in the market. Gale just happens to have a bigger Niche in the market than most of these Companies. And is not set on just making the most Power possible, He is and always has been a Reliability over power guy most of his life. And there is nothing wrong with that. Just like there is nothing wrong with chucking #5 piston through both sides of the block due to a potential Mechanical failure trying to make 2k HP

All of a sudden all the diesel experts show up like like strangers at a funeral claiming the deceased owed them money. I've got buddies with both powerstrokes and duramax's and none of them stayed with their choices very long. The ones that did have lived long happy life's in the right lane. At times the pursuit of more power is a curse, a driving force fed by a dream for a brief moment of excitement. I commend you guys at POWER DRIVEN DIESEL as I myself would be flat broke being around guys like you with ideas and dreams like that, financially I couldn't do it. Keep doing what you guys do and for the record Gail Banks tho educated in the diesel field is like watching paint dry. Lol you guys are the best I work for good times motorsports in socal I'm sending you some stickers for the good times truck just got some 5x14 injections from you hope it lights my compound system a little better I added a inter stage intercooler and hate it might be ok for max hp but lags way more on a manual transmission have fun make smoke and try to keep all the cylinder pressure in the cylinder and and intake restriction pressure to the moon(boost) lol
