My short game is very good but I hit the occasional fat boy maybe once out of 50 shots. This is it. I always keep my shoulders level on my close shots but I just realized today I got lazy a bit and now I know why I hit those few bad shots lol. Always a nice refresher to go back to basics. Thanks guys.

Use the Dan Grieve three release method. That’s all you need.

His book has improved my short game confidence a tremendous amount. Coupled with this channel, gives me plenty of stuff to pull from.

He always gives himself a perfect lie. It doesn't translate to courses unless they're in immaculate condition. My opinion only of course

This will help out my own chipping. I have the same issues with my shoulders and never thought about it being an issue.

Yes this can cause some ground early and thin shots.

Coach, thank you for the video It's a difficult sport, but thank you for explaining it easily 😊😊

Lower your left shoulder or keep it level, really helps to chip better! Saw this tip from other instructors before. Great to have a refresher though. Right foot stays on the ground is another great tip by Piers!

Yeah I had to video myself for an online Skillest lesson and I noticed right off the angle of my shoulders when chipping. Exactly like your student here and I knew it wasn't how things should be. My instructor didnt even mention it. You've confirmed that it is indeed one of the culprits of hitting fat shots. I was also pulling the club too far inside and delivering the club from too far inside. The combination of all 3 was deadly. Danny Maude has a good little tip: grab the club with ap reverse grip (left or lead hand hand low) to level out shoulders. Once you get that feel return to normal grip while maintaining the more level shoulder position.

Great stuff! Would really like to see some more instruction for chipping/pitching on those tight lies around the greens where you have to open the face and use the bounce

Thanks. Will do some more content on this for you.

I’ve been watching a ton of your videos lately. I must say they are excellent and I’m always learning something new. What degree wedge would you suggest for this shot? Ty

What club is he using ? Would you use different clubs for different distances?

I actually like the follow through cuz IMO it stops the very common deceleration issue
@meandmygolf.11 ай бұрын
This is a common misconception. Most golfers get told they are decelarting when they aren't. This causes over acceleration which lead to some real issues.

@@meandmygolf.that’s interesting, I often feel I jab at it and dig into the ground or blade it but I did like some of what I saw. Good to work on when weather breaks

Teach them to relax! Most problems I've seen come from being too tense and a total lack of confidence in making the shot. JM2C
