Y’all are some of the best coaches. You find their swing and just give them small swing thoughts vs, breaking down their natural swing and creating 10 swing thoughts. Fantastic.

Tom was striping it in the end. I think we all learned a lot from this video. Most of us struggle with the back swing.

That is such a good drill I use it a lot. I use a club with it. Helps with the return with the butt pointing behind me. Lots of higher handicappers like myself come out of our posture too early.

So relatable, just a great drill. I agree, for me one of the most relevant and impactful drills. Regards from Enville GC

His swing at the start looks exactly like mine. I have struggled with over the top for months, every time I would try to manipulate the hands or club I would end up a mess. This advice is hopefully spot on, range tomorrow!

Love this (and all) your videos. My question is what thought do you have in initiating your backswing? Start with hands and arms, shoulders, abdomen, Hips or some other feel? Thx

Are you consciously trying to get the hips moving towards the target in the backswing whilst getting the upper body over the club on the ground? Or should the focus be the upper body?

This drill is amazing!! It completely change my ball striking. Only issue is the increased turn makes me feel less control in the downswing. I am swinging out of my shoes with so much coil going back. Any way to combat this?

Do you promote rear foot flares out to allow for more turn? If so how much and what is too much. 25degrees?

Yes, the key is just experiment and see what feels best for you. Understanding your range of motion is important also.

Got a question for everybody. If you were to film your swing on your phone, it’s going to be limited because of the frame rate, so what’s the best way of being able to visually see what plane your shaft is on?

most phones have a slo mo mode now.

Gentlemen, in your opinion, would a weighted club help train a golfer’s back shoulder stay underneath rather than moving out and over the ball for someone who struggles with an over the top swing?

Hi Guys, I noticed his right knee always collapses towards his right knee on the back swing. My instructor has a drill to stop me doing this, and as a result I feel I have more pressure on the downswing to create more power / consistent strikes. What's your thoughts on this ?
@meandmygolf.10 ай бұрын
We like to see the front knee move back as it helps with rotation of the hips. For most amateurs keeping the front knee still can cause issues but if you are finding it works then keep doing it. We are all different and there is more than one way to do it.
