What a fun and informative presentation! My favorite element besides all the good instruction is seeing the guys from England in polo shirts and GG dressed like it is winter.

I love everything about these swing ideas. The balanced “rounded posture reminds me of Snead, Hogan, Player, Nicklaus, Steve...I could go on and on. The internal rotation of the righty arm in the backswing...brilliant! All of my favorite players have a “flying” right arm. The passive arms and handle on the downswing. Perfect. Rotate like an athlete. Favorite all time ball striker I’ve seen in person is Eduardo Romero. He does all of these things naturally. It’s such a poised and athletic way to hit a golf ball. I guess that’s why they call him “El Gato”

My gosh. George Gankas.....knew him in the early 90s. You'll never know a more positive person. He was just a kid then; there would be the Stankowski brothers there and other great players...but George was into Sports Medicine if I remember right. Don't doubt his game, he set a local golf course's record -- 63 -- without much hoopla coming from him. Nice seeing this video; fits in nicely with Meandmygolf dynamic duo. Thanks!

Very good video. All of the great players mainly played one shape of shot. Fade - Hogan, Nicklaus, Trevino, Rahm, Koepka, and others; Draw - Jones, Player, Watson, Woods, McIlroy and others. Choose either a fade or a draw as your main shape. Never try to hit the ball dead straight. I mainly hit a draw with my driver for distance, and a fade with my irons and 3-wood for control, height, and stopping power. I shot a 60 on a very tough course that way. It works. Of course, putting is the most important part of the game. Learn how to read greens and how to putt, and practice your putting the most.

I had allot of trouble this past season making poor contact. I was hitting every club so poorly I hardly played and even thought of giving up completely. I think the initial problem was that I was putting so much pressure on my lead hip by shifting towards the target and on my lower back trying to rotate in a position that was to much upright... ended up injuring myself. Like gg said you can't rotate when you're on your toes and we all know where humping will put your clubface. I did allot of work to make changes in my setup and allot of balance and core training. I had to bend over a little further, and make a conscious effort to keep my butt out hips down and back straight. I now feel the rotation happening more in my mid back and don't feel like I'm grinding out my lumbar. Once I was in the right position I was able to just make a natural feeling swing with no crazy swing thoughts. I'm now hitting the ball really well and i think I'd be in single digits if i could make some more puts. To make a long story long..... set up is important. :)

Great video and great information. But upon closer examination, we have contradictions. Set up. Slouch facilities turning back rather than standing up. Slouch facilities turning through and short arm. Ok. Then it becomes good to stand up, squat and turn, and then post up. So when is standing taller in the backswing good and when is it bad again?

The “throwing the ball”is key here, not as natural as GG makes out, yes it’s an effortless movement but your still moving your elbow externally (even if it’s subconsciously) the rotation and pivot alone won’t shallow the club out with out that external movement. You can see it clearly when that Johnny guy unwinds.

shallow the club seems like the latest catchphrase over the last couple years, almost like a youtube phenomenon. i'm sure it happens in a correct swing but more as a cause and effect thing than something which can be manipulated which i'm sure they are promoting. we need a KISS method of golf, that would make for some good youtube golf.
