This "dark" arrangement of the song was originally made by US producer Tommee Profitt, a few years ago, although Diana's version seems even darker. This performance was taken from a Russian TV show called "ShowMaskGoOn" and wasn't a talent competition, but rather an entertainment show - nine singers (including Diana) were invited to sing songs in different genres over the nine week run. The same nine singers appeared each week and then commented on and judged each others performances. Diana, who was 18 at the time, was by far the youngest of the singers. She is now 19 and will turn 20 at the end of May. In this performance she is 18 years old and she has been around on youtube since she was 10. She has won numerous russian talent shows which is where her road to stardom really started. Her story is tragic, abused and abandoned by her bio mother at 4 at a russian train station in winter with a broken collar bone. She was later adopted by the nurse that helped her recover from her injury. She did not speak for several years from her trauma but when she was alone she would sing. She has a youtube channel with lots of covers, clips of her being a goofy teenager and some originals. I rank her right up there with Dimash, Angelina Jordan and Aurora, one of the best in the world.
