I'd go the cave for the bats. I wish they wouldn't perpetuate the idea of them being scary though. Bats are beautiful, gentle and loving. They do so much good. The fruit bats help spread seeds and other breeds help keep the insect population down. They're very important for the ecosystem. Putting up a bat house in your yard, will really help if you have mosquitoes, just like encouraging opossums to stay around keeps ticks from bothering you.
@solitare46023 жыл бұрын
Bats are fine, as long as they stay out of my house. They panic and divebomb you. You've got to hit them with a tennis racket to knock them out and then toss them outside.
@ella177343 жыл бұрын
Good to know.👍
@suzannemcneal73203 жыл бұрын
@@solitare4602 they arent dive bombing you they are just confused. Just step out of the room, let them land and put a jar or vase over them, slide a magazine or the jar lid over the opening and Scoop them up and take them outside. Chasing them around with a tennis racket makes them more confused and erratic. If they hit something and fall on the floor they cant get back into the air again unless they can get back onto a surface where they can launch themselves back into the air. Once on the ground, they cannot fly back up at you and are at your mercy. Last time I had one end up on the floor I just encouraged him to crawl into a little trash can and took him outside, tilted my can so he could crawl to the edge and launch. I lived in a big creepy house and they would end up in my bedroom constantly. They really arent trying to hurt you, they are just frightened, confused and know they screwed up. Once on the floor they will make this odd clicking sound desperately trying to use their echo location to figure out some way to get back in flight. It's not a hiss or threat sound although sounds a little odd first time you hear it. They also do not intentionally try to get in your hair. That usually happens when people are running around freaking out trying to kill them or out run them. Never could convince my mother of this. I would sit out in the grass under our big light at night and watch them feed on the bugs trying to feed on me. They will fly all around you but never touch you as long as your still and they can track your location. They are amazing creatures, very misunderstood and excellent at eating other things that make us sick. Plus they are super cute with their little bat faces. 😁
