Once upon a time, there was a great song. Celine Dion, one of the finest singers in the world, brought people to tears when she sang it. Then Meat Loaf and Marion Ravn collaborated on it. If Celine Dion scored a home run, Meat Loaf and Marion Ravn knocked it completely out of the ballpark. Theirs is the definitive version of this powerful song. Meat Loaf was the background track of everyone who grew up in my generation. From the Rocky Horror Picture Show and Bat Out Of Hell, through Back Into Hell and everything since, his powerful voice (and excellent screen presence) were the backdrop of several generations. And this song with the incredibly talented Marion Ravn really is one of the finest songs I’ve ever heard. Rest In Peace Meat Loaf - you will live on in the hearts and minds of so many.

Yes I believe he didn't get near enough recognition either, but I also believe he didn't really care about that. In my opinion, this is the best version of the song. It should always be sung as a duet.

Meatloaf and Marion Raven absolutely make magic together in this song!! As someone else observed it seems that this should have been a Meatloaf song all along! This is by far the best rendition. He was and is a legend, and my heart breaks that he is gone! RIP, Meatloaf and many condolences to his loving family and friends.❤

They KILT this!!!! Ever since 'Bat Outta Hell' Meatloaf had a way of really making you feel his songs with his delivery. I still have that awesome album all these years later. AND, he was a definite Renaissance man. A voice silenced far too soon. I'm still rockin' with you Meat in 2024. Rest well in your heavenly Paradise, bruh. ❤

I met Meat Loaf in 2019. He’s had such a massive impact on my life and is the reason I truly fell in love with music, and we spoke for roughly half an hour. He was so kind, and I’ll forever cherish that half hour. Even almost 5 months after his passing, I can’t listen to his music without tearing up, yet I still listen to it nearly every day. Rest In Peace Meat Loaf, thank you for everything.

Marion Raven is outstanding and compliments Meat's vocal wonderfully, (she is very very easy on the eye too) The best version of this Track by a long long way.

There were nights when the wind was so cold That my body froze in bed if I just listened to it right outside the window There were days when the sun was so cruel That all the tears turned to dust and I just knew my eyes were drying up forever I finished crying in the instant that you left And I can't remember where or when or how And I banished every memory you and I have ever made But when you touch me like this (touch me like this) And you hold me like that (hold me like that) I just have to admit that it's all coming back to me When I touch you like this (touch you like this) And I hold you like that (hold you like that) It's so hard to believe but it's all coming back to me now It's all coming back It's all coming back to me now There were moments of gold and there were flashes of light There were things I'd never do again but then they'd always seemed right There were nights of endless pleasure It was more than any laws allow-baby, baby! If I kiss you like this (kiss you like this) And if you whisper like that (whisper like that) It was lost long ago but it's all coming back to me If you want me like this (if you want me like this) And if you need me like that (if you need me like that) It was dead long ago but it's all coming back to me It's so hard to resist and it's all coming back to me I can barely recall, but it's all coming back to me now.... But you were history with the slamming of the door And I made myself so strong again somehow And I never wasted any of my time on you since then! But if I touch you like this (touch you like this) And if you kiss me like that (kiss me like that) It was so long ago but it's all coming back to me If you touch me like this (touch me like this) And if I kiss you like that (kiss you like that) It was gone with the wind but it's all coming back to me now It's all coming back It's all coming back to me now There were moments of gold and there were flashes of light There were things we'd never do again but they'd always seemed right There were nights of endless pleasure It was more than all your laws allow-baby, baby, baby! When you touch me like this (touch me like this) And when you hold me like that (hold me like that) It was gone with the wind but it's all coming back to me When you see me like this (see me like this) And when I see you like that (see you like that) Then we see what we want to see-all coming back to me The flesh and the fantasies-all coming back to me I can barely recall, but it's all coming back to me now.... If you forgive me all this (forgive me all this) If I forgive you all that (forgive you all that) We forgive and forget and it's all coming back to me now It's all coming back to me now We forgive and forget And it's all coming back to me now....

Thinking of the story that meatloaf and steinman argued about whether this song was a solo or duet.. the then cancelled bat out of hell 3.. the other versions will always be covers to this.. meatloaf was right, its much better as a duet... this will always be the definitive version to me.
