Jim Steinman had a long time collaboration and friendship with Meatloaf, but they would often argue and stop talking to each other. Jim offered the song to Meatloaf first, but Meatloaf declined the song, so Jim offered it to Celine. Later Jim and Meatloaf started working together again and Meatloaf asked to try recording his interpretation of the song and Jim agreed, so it was put on the new album they were working on together.

Marion was more beautiful than Celine ever was, and always had a pleasant voice - lets not forget she was an International pop star at age 14 - thats true SKILL. Marion was perfect for this job but for some bad reason a lot of people would deny it and history shows that the haters won. You know the truth, Meat Loaf was accused by hateful feminists that he choses Marion Raven for her youth and great looks, and you guys took the bait hook line and sinker just like the feminist haters told you too. Meat Loaf otoh tried to defend against the accusations but YOU GUYS turned your back at him when he neeed your support the most. No wonder he died too early, you all helped it happen. He is in a better place now, with his fellow unjust victims of western feminism like Benny Hill who also mysteriously died prematurely after harsh feminists hate campaigns. Theres a pattern heree, the greater and straighter you are the more the feminists hate you no matter how much you value justice. Gay people are never accused of such things.

She had the right connections, partnered with the right people... but SOMETHING happened that drove her back to Europe and away from rock. I hope it is not one of the more traffic things I fear with some of the men in the industry. THe U.S. and rock world lost an incredible talent with her first, and then of course with Meat Loaf's passing another. Savor and share this duet with younger generations. There's not an aspect of it from the music, the lyrics/ballad, the videography... that doesn't hold it's own in rock history.

Thank you lee! We really needed this right now.this is for all of us. Not democrats or republicans, but all americans. This is not a political song. It's an american song. God bless america. I know we can all rejoice in that thought. Let's all be thankful for this great land.

The song and the video is the kind that give you a haunting effect, of course i meant it in a good way. Tbh if this was a movie trailer, i will definitely watch the movie itself.

RIP Meatloaf. May your beautiful epic music live forever.

Just admit it, this is too epic, Marion was later awarded the title of Norways most attractive celebrity at age 33 but she had been every year for the last 10 years but had low exposure and wasnt ranked. Marion is so fantastic, Meat Loaf was - no need too say it - epic. This song is more historically significant than 99% of more famous songs in western music history.

I'm crying so much now. I don't know if it's the emotion of the performance or the fact that I miss him so much. xx

This theme for this song reminds me of Phantom of the Opera (masquerade ball) and the relation between Marion and Jim (Beauty and the Beast). Both of which are grand!
@Brisingrize3 жыл бұрын
I would do anything for love is inspired by beauty and the beast. So I can definitely see phantom in this. Makes me sad that Celine's version has taken over. When this is just an emotional bomb.

There were nights when the wind was so cold That my body froze in bed if I just listened To it right outside the window There were days when the sun was so cruel That all the tears turned to dust and I just knew my eyes were drying up forever … I finished crying in the instant that you left And I can't remember where or when or how And I banished every memory you and I have ever made … But when you touch me like this (Touch me like this) And you hold me like that (Hold me like that) I just have to admit That it's all coming back to me … When I touch you like this (Touch you like this) And I hold you like that (hold you like that) It's so hard to believe But it's all coming back to me now … It's all coming back It's all coming back to me now … There were moments of gold and there were flashes of light There were things I'd never do again But then they'd always seemed right There were nights of endless pleasure It was more than any laws allow, maybe baby … If I kiss you like this (Kiss you like this) And if you whisper like that (Whisper like that) It was lost long ago But it's all coming back to me … If you want me like this (If you want me like this) And if you need me like that (If you need me like that) It was dead long ago But it's all coming back to me … It's so hard to resist And it's all coming back to me I can barely recall But it's all coming back to me now … But you were history with the slamming of the door And I made myself so strong again somehow And I never wasted any of my time on you since then … But if I touch you like this (Touch you like this) And if you kiss me like that (Kiss me like that) It was so long ago But it's all coming back to me … If you touch me like this (Touch me like this) And if I kiss you like that (Kiss you like that) It was gone with the wind But it's all coming back to me now … It's all coming back It's all coming back to me now … There were moments of gold and there were flashes of light There were things we'd never do again But then they'd always seemed right There were nights of endless pleasure It was more than all your laws allow, baby, baby, baby … When you touch me like this (Touch me like this) And when you hold me like that (Hold me like that) It was gone with the wind But it's all coming back to me … When you see me like this (See me like this) And when I see you like that (See you like that) Then we see what we want to see All coming back to me … The flesh and the fantasies All coming back to me I can barley recall But it's all coming back to me now … If you forgive me all this (Forgive me all this) If I forgive you all that (Forgive you all that) We forgive and forget And it's all coming back to me now

My mom introduced me to Meatloaf as a kid, and I was hooked. He was also one of few rock artists my dad liked. Like Meatloaf, they're gone now... but my love of them and his music is still there.

Remember I had to stop Marion in a ticket controll in Oslo. And stupid as I was I watched down on the ticket instead than the passengers. And my co'worker was like seriously slaping my head, and was like, you know who that was? But by then she had already gone to the train. Well, got to meet her several times as a photojournalist later on. But this is in my opinion the best version out there!

Bravo! Luckily, I was born in the 70s. I have grown, listening to the most amazing bands around. To this day, Meat Loaf remains. Marion Raven, you sing beautifully. I cherish the storyline behind It's All Coming Back To Me Now. I wish (never happen) more bands would sing of real love. The heartaches and breaks. Thank you for gifting the world with your amazing song Meat. You will rest easy, knowing, we're still listening. :)

The thing about love, is nothing compares to your first love. It’s hard to explain. It’s even harder to forget. The tears and years that have gone by. The ghosts of past haunt your memories. Songs you have shared. Folly of youth may mean nothing to some. But to others, they can cry a River of regret and love haunts them. Because they never get over the first love.
